I thought I just let you know that I received an email from USCIS Mexico on Feb 22, answering to my email that I sent on Jan 8th.

......take your time.......

Also that my check, sent on Jan 19th with the I130, still not cashed: 5 weeks and counting.

Who says that DCF is faster???

Ugh, they are really taking their time. Yeah, it took USCIS in Mexico City 2 emails and more than a month to write me back. I hope they hurry up and cash that check!

Thanks Lia for your kind words. I had dreams of my enveloppe and my file sliding under some furniture and forgotten for the rest of the year.....

But today we had a LIVE person on the phone who took our message instead of the recording machine. Extension 4159 if that can be useful....Now let's see if they call back with some news!

all that time?? WOW ! how frustrating!

I will filing my I130 in Monterrey (in March I hope),.. by person (and they told me I can pay by cash)..so I hope that helps to save some time. Supposed it will the just 2 weeks for approval.

I130 RETURNED !

Got a very helpful person on the phone ! She called back !!! Supposedly, they mailed back my whole package "recently" with my check by normal mail..........She couldn't say WHY or WHEN exactly. I am going to wait until next wednesday to see if I receive something et re-apply , this time not through DCF.... Checked everything, and I could swear nothing is missing !!! I also try to find other people on this board to see if this is normal situation ...Got the feeling that the "recently" will be today and that my file was just hanging on a desk.........

Really?? MMM.. well.. you have to wait to see the letter and find out what was wrong.. please tell us as soon as you know.

So you wont use DCF anymore??
