Hi

I am a little confused as to what this means. I got an email today stating...

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing

On February 23, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER

Does this mean that everything is ok with the application? Can I still get an RFE? How long after the transfer to CSC is there normally an interview.

Thanks

No - it just means they sent it to another office to process it. (RFE's can still be asked for)

Usually - getting sent to CSC means no interview - but your mileage may vary...

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

We got an RFE for 693 after the case was transferred to CSC, but didn't have an interview to get the GC. As Bobby+Umit said, your mileage may vary.
