Here's a quick summary of the Toronto medical for those who haven't gone yet and are interested.

Lined up at 6:20 (3 people in front of me)

6:30ish they let us in, before going to the waiting room you hand in your visa appointment letter to the lady behind the counter...they use this to call your name once your in the waiting room.

7:00 got called into an office like room where I handed over my id, the money, photos, vaccination proof, also signed a form and got a receipt for the $275 payment. Given a bunch of sheets to take to the xray room (down the hall on the right)

7:10 xray done, lady checked off on a sheet that it was done and sent back to the waiting room

7:35 called in by a doctor to get my blood taken, took it, and checked off on the form that it had been done...sent back to waiting room

7:45 called in to the largest office yet with the typical family office equipment, bed, etc. Nurse took my blood pressure, heart beat, hight, weight tehn told me to take off everything and put on a paper gown thing and that the doc. would be in momentarily

7:55 doc came in asked how I was doing and asked me a bunch of questions, surgeries, mental illness, drinking probs, etc. Looked at the immunization proof, asked me about chicken pox for the verbal declaration. old me to get on the bed thing, poked and proded asked if I ever had a hernia while looking "down there" and then said your all good and good luck on the rest of the process. Took the form that had all the check marks on it showing that I had the blood work, xrays etc to the lady at the front desk. She asked if there was anythign else the doctor needed I told her no, she gave me a sheet showing pick up times, Friday after 12pm and out the door I went.

8:10 Done, now just waiting for the results.

Very efficient and proffesional operation. I answered their questions, did exactly what they said, and let them poke and prod and found it was quite quick. If you make there job easy you'll be out in no time.

Was the doctor male or female - or was there a female present in the room when the doctor was there?

The nurses were female but my doctor was male...I'm a guy so it was actually fine for me. I've read on other postings that the physical part will be done by a female doctor if your a female...but that's only what i've read. As for needles before pricking you they ask if you have a prob with needles or giving blood.

Was the doctor male or female - or was there a female present in the room when the doctor was there?
