I am from Argentina, my fiancee is American, and we are currently in Thailand. We would like to get married here, according to this article

if we apply for an I130 the paperwork goes to the place of marriage (thailand) Is it possible to receive the paperwork and receive the visa at the embassy in my home country?

Does it matter where we get married?

For the now obsolete K3 visa, the interview is required to be in the Country of marriage. For the CR1, there is no such requirement.
