We are about to file taxes for the first time as joint filer's. my wife is applying for an ITIN because she is still in the Philippines, and from what i understand i will submit the form W-7 requesting an ITIN with my federal 1040 to a special address in Texas.

however i am wondering what to do about state taxes?

do i just write applying for ITIN where my wifes SSN belongs? and submit to the normal address for the state forms?

has anyone done this successfully before?

God Thank you for the love we've found

Is about all you can do except for waiting for the IRS to respond and then insert and submit the state return later... Without SSN.ITIN you will not be able tio e-file

YMMV
