Paige is definitely history (she sounded ill actually). I'd say its 50/50 between Kate & Kate. I actually thought Siobhan was the best performer last night.

BTW I used to detest AI and all it stood for...until David Cook came around. I'm rooting for "Nervous Boy" as I like to call him (Alex).

LOL...same here. Ellen DeGeneres, however, has reiterated to the contestants that this isn't the only route to take, and now that the shows been on several seasons, we can see who actually is successful in real life...not always the top picks.

The show gives exposure, but it doesn't turn people into music stars....which is what the show originally tried to pitch itself as doing....that it had the power to make or break someone. Nothing but hyped up BS.

i only watch the auditions because they're funny. then it's all the same. someone will win and will be forgotten a few months later.

My husband agrees with you. The only time he watched the entire thing is when it was David Cook against David Archuletta. But other than that, after the idiots that try out he is more annoyed with it. Good thing he has his computer handy because I do like it.

David Cook was good. I hated his hair however...lol

Funny thing, I don't remember the guys too much. I do know there are a couple that I like, but I couldn't tell you who they are by name or face even. Maybe tonight I will start to put names/faces/voices together.

Case in point....Rueben.

This season's most overused critique by the judges seems like it's going to be, "I'm not really sure what kind of artist you are." It's as if they've never heard of pop music.

I agree with you M4E about Katie's voice. That's why she's coming off as older than she is...if you closed your eyes you'd think she was 60. Not much she can do about that. She could sing Miley Cyrus, but it's still gonna sound like a 60-year old singing Miley Cyrus.

I think it will be Paige and Katie to go tomorrow. Although I think Katelyn could be in danger as well. She needs to find the right balance...her performance of the Scientist last week was very good except for the camera-ogling.

I hope to see something impressive tonight from the guys since so far they've been so underwhelming.

I like Katelyn's voice a lot. There are things she does with her voice that are really nice and she stays on key. She also has a marketable look. I hope she's offered something even if she doesn't make it past next week.

Ugh, Kara is such a phony. I enjoyed Michael's performance, but her crying was so icky, totally turned me off.

Andrew Garcia seems like a one-trick pony; I think tonight might be his night to go. Simon was right that it was a desperate move.

I actually really enjoyed Todrick. Hope he makes it through tonight.

The only reason Tim is still in is his looks...his vocals are weak and unmoving. Lee is the man to beat, but Mike's performance was outstanding last night.

I agree that Andrew Garcia doesn't seem to have anymore aces up his sleeve.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of the guys tweak their voices to sound a certain way and the gals do it as well? I think it's great to find your own voice, but not if it sounds what everyone else is doing.

I like Lee but he goes off key on every song.

So do a lot of recording artists. There's a lot more to this competition than perfect pitch and he can learn how to hit those lower notes with some vocal coaching. Most pop singers breath with the chest, instead of using their diaphragm, making it difficult to hold a note or stay in tune.

I think all in all the men did pretty good last night. I think Garcia did good with his number. If it was the first time you heard that song you would like it. But his strategy is stale. He should have gone more traditional with this song.

I was a little annoyed with Kara's comments over the kid that sang that country song (again, can't remember names). He started out weak, but he blew me away. I don't give a rats patootie that he is only 17. He sang the song well. Who decided that a song needs to be relevant to the singers personal life anyway?

The first guy, again can't remember his name, was very good. He has a unique voice. I honestly can't come up with a favorite with the men yet. But I still think there are a couple of the women that have an edge on any of the men. That could of course change with time.
