I haven't watched American Idol after Season 7. I had a huge crush on Jason Castro back then.

Are they already in the top 12 now? This must be Season 9.

Yep, they're in the top 12 guys/12 gals now and tonight, the bottom 2 of guys and gals will be going home. One of the guy singers my wife is convinced is pinoy - he plays the guitar and wears thick rimmed glasses...can't think of his name, but really talented. His wife was in the audience and she definitely looks pinay.

For the guys I'm liking Lee Dewyze and that's pretty much it. I agree with the judges that it's a year for a girl to win. For the girls last night, I liked Siobhan, Crystal, and Lilly.

I agree Jenn, I thought those girls were the best. I absolutely cannot stand Haeley. I like Didi, but she keeps choosing the wrong songs.

For the guys: I think Lee is my favorite so far. I like Big Mike's personality and liked his performance this week. I think Casey is a cutie and I liked him last week, but not so much this week.

It's the votes. I'd rather see the judges trim the participants down to the final four before allowing votes to decide.

Last night, I liked Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami and surprisingly, Lacey Brown, the best. Thought Siobhan and Lily were good also. Did not like Katelyn Epperly at all. Katie is just too young and inexperienced. Was not impressed by Paige's performance either, but still thinks she has a good voice.

Based on the performances last night, Katie and Paige should be going home this week.

When are they going to combine the guys and gals? Crystal is the one to beat from gals and Lee from the guys. Those two will be in the top 4.

That's funny, I didn't like Lacey in the least! But I thought Siobhan was great. Simon is to hard on her, and I think he just doesn't like her. Katie has a good voice, but the judges want her to find something age appropriate, but the bottom line is that her voice doesn't fit her age, nor do I think it ever will. She is good, but inexperienced. I didn't care for Lily, but it seems that I am in the minority there. Paige just needs to go. She doesn't have what it takes to compete with the others. I missed Didi's performance, but I saw that the judges really liked her. At the end the recapped, so I saw it then, but didn't see anything outstanding.

Crystal is, however, the one to beat. Siobhan would be my second choice.

Paige is definitely history (she sounded ill actually). I'd say its 50/50 between Kate & Kate. I actually thought Siobhan was the best performer last night.

BTW I used to detest AI and all it stood for...until David Cook came around. I'm rooting for "Nervous Boy" as I like to call him (Alex).
