call his office and ask if he has sent out the petition yet......it could be its still setting in his office and has not made it to the service center until it is sent and received you can not receive the noa1

most the time the attorney is the one that receives the noa1 and then notifies you.

Your service center WILL NOT send you a NOA1. ONLY your lawyer will get a copy.

You must call and ask your lawyer for a copy as soon as they get it.

This is how it worked for us when we filed.

I did call our service center and asked to get a copy of the NOA2 sent directly to us and we did get one.

Good luck on your journey!!

Hi Shane,

By any chance, did you write a check payable to US Department of Homeland Security? Was the check cashed? Or was the K-1 application fee included in your lawyer's fee already?

Nonetheless, you might want to call your lawyer and ask for a case update. For all you know, they might have it already... it should only take about a week to receive after the USCIS receives your packet. Also, request a copy of your NOA1 from your lawyer and keep it for your records. With the case number, you can sign up for case update notifications on the USCIS website so you'll be aware of any major case updates.

Best of Luck!

(By the way, you should start refering to your "boyfriend" as "fiance")

not a pi regional specific topic - moved from pi regional to K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures, which deals with the filing and noa portion of this phase. once you get noa2, then this forum is applicable for specific questions regarding the manila embassy.
