name change affidavit or certificate

Hi experts,

This forum is very informative and members are helpful.

I am newbie. I will be filing my I130 shortly for my wife - consulate is chennai , India.

I have question.

My wife changed her LAST name from her fathers name to my last name.

Her birth certificate has fathers name and her new passport has my last name.

Do I need to produce a name changed affidavit (or) named changed certificate to NVC(USCIS)

Please advise.

I believe all you need is the marriage certificate....that is the way it is in most countries. Someone from india will be along soon to confirm though.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.
