I-130 TIMELINE for MOM

California Service Center

District Office: San Jose, CA

09/17/09- Sent I-130 package to Chicago (via FedEx)

09/18/09- Chicago Received my I-130 package

09/22/09- Notice of Action Date

09/23/09- Check cashed

09/25/09- Received NOA1

01/20/10- Received NOA2 (Approval)

NVC

01/26/10- Case # issued MNLXXXXXXXX and registered email addresses

01/28/10- Rcv'd DS-3032 packet (email)

01/28/10- Paid AOS $70.00

01/29/10- Sent DS-3032 Choice of Agent (FEDEX) and EMAIL

01/29/10- AOS-Paid; (I printed the barcode for I-864)

02/01/10- NVC Rcv'd DS-3032

02/02/10- Sent I-864 via FEDEX

02/03/10- NVC Rcv'd I-864 (Signed by: K. St Laurent)

02/03/10- DS-3032 entered in the system

02/09/10- IV Bill Generated

02/09/10- I paid IV Bill--- In Process

02/10/10- IV Bill Status changed to PAID

02/11/10- Gathering all the documents; waiting for my mom to send me all the docs

02/12/10- AVR documents incomplete

02/19/10- Sent DS-230 via FEDEX

02/22/10- NVC received DS 230 signed by: P.Conley

02/25/10- AVR Changed to received DS-230 documents

03/04/10- AVR Missing document (Photograph---they lost it!)

03/08/10- Sent missing photograph (2 pcs. 2x2) via FEDEX

03/09/10- NVC received missing photo; Signed by: J DESMOND

03/16/10- AVR: Received missing documents it would take 6-8 weeks something.. something...

03/23/10- Log In failed.... Yay!

08/26/09: I-130 Mailed(Fedex) to Chicago Lockbox for Parents

08/27/09: Received by USCIS

09/01/09: ND for both parents

09/02/09: Both Checks Cashed ($355 each)

09/21/09: I-130 approved ( LUD on USCIS online )

09/29/09: Received I-130 approved notices (NOA2)

NVC:

10/02/09: NVC Case #s assigned to both parents and emails regd.

10/06/09: Rcvd. emails for DS-3032 and AOS Fee ( Paid AOS Fee same night)

10/07/09: Emailed DS-3032 ( Did mail too via Fedex )

10/08/09: DS-3032 received by NVC

10/08/09: AOS Fee Status "PAID"

10/09/09: I-864 Affidavit of Support mailed via FEDEX

10/16/09: DS-3032 Entered in NVC System

10/19/09: IV Fee Bill Generated

10/20/09: Rcvd IV Fee Bill Email and Paid $400 for each parent

10/22/09: I -864 Entered into NVC System as per NVC Operator

10/22/09: IV Fee BILL Status Changed to PAID

10/23/09: Mailed DS-230 Documents Set to NVC

10/26/09: DS-230 Received by NVC signed by J.DESMOND

10/28/09: I -864 Accepted

10/29/09: Rcvd Checklist Email

10/30/09: AVR changed to " We received checklist response on 10/29/09"

11/18/09: LOGIN Failed in the morning...AVR message not changed yet...

11/18/09: Talked to Operator and it is under "FINAL REVIEW"

11/20/09: CASE COMPLETED on 11/19/09

12/02/09: Rcvd Emails for Interview on 01/08/2010

12/04/09: Medical Appt on 12/08/09 at Hyderabad

12/09/09: Medical Completed

01/08/10: INTERVIEW COMPLETED

01/12/2010: Rcvd Passports and sealed envelope.

05/20/2010: POE at DFW

Where does your son live? (we do not have a son!)

Where does your daughter work?

Where does her husband work?

Are they still married?

When do you plan to travel?

And I can only echo the excellent answer from Raj, 'it will be simple'!

Hi Friends

My Mom will appear at BKC for her IR5 interview. (my brother is sponsoring)

I hope she will be asked similar questions.

She was delayed on visitor visa in past for total two and half months (divided in two times due to misunderstanding of immigration process and due to extension request being rejected late)

Please wish good luck to her and us.

Thread from 2010 is now closed to further comment.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
