Not the same procedure. In Canada they would have broken his bones. The procedure he was able to get in Miami did not break any bones, much less invasive.

This speaks to a fact about American healthcare. We do have the best, the latest and greatest. Unfortunately, access to the latest and greatest is limited to a select group of people and is unavailable to most Americans. The system we have today encourages this at the expense of encouraging wider access.

I had the bypass surgery in December where they cut your sternum. Not pleasant at all. It was not recommended I have the other type in my case, wish I could have, that really sucked big time. Terrible pain for quite a while, considerable pain for weeks. I still can;t ski, even though I feel great now because the sternum takes so long to heal completely.

At any rate, why should he be different, our clinics and hospitals here are full of Quebecois.

From the article it says that there is a difference of opinion over the safety of that particular procedure. If you read the article of course.

His reason isn't important. It is his choice. I am pro-choice. Are you pro-choice?

Florida condos are extremely popular with wealthy people in Montreal. There is probably a more brisk business in Florida Real Estate in Montreal than there is in Florida.

If his reason wasn't important, then you wouldn't have implied that he had the procedure done in Florida because it would have been mediocre in Canada.

I thought you were an engineer and were supposed to be all logical and stuff...
