I want to find out is there a waiting period that is required after marriage before you file for AOS? Or must you be in a relationship a certain period of time total before getting married and then filing for AOS?

I have heard about something stating that 2 years is Solid, what is that all about? My Fiance and I have only been together for 7 months and plan on getting married in March.

You can file as soon as you have the marriage certificate in hand.

Don't delay filing the AOS - you do not want to go out of status.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Ditto on Bobby's reply - length of relationship has nothing to do with AOS - it is only a possible flag (if short) for getting a K-1 approved. If you're married, do the AOS as soon as possible.
