Tatyana, one question - did you ever receive an email or text message about approval? I'm surprised they didnt notify electronically at all; just sent the notice in the mail...seems that there is no consistent way the USCIS operates at all...

Nope, no email or text msg. Just the couple of updates and then the actual approval on Sat by regular mail. I even called on Friday to get an update & was told same thing that they received my paperwork back in Oct and blah blah blah. Which I am sure I was all ready approved by Friday but the operators didnt even have the info yet or I am confused.

Where are you in the process? Sorry I have looked at some many people timelines that they all blend in together now.

Got touched as of Jan 27th and still no NOA2. so still waiting. but i have similar timeline as you do; hoping whatever thing unblocked your approval will work for me as well (probably the case officer in charge was on vacation and just came back) or something. Can you do me just one more favor and find out if your case status has changed on the USCIS website, or if it still just says "Initial Review"? I bet it will still say initial review. These guys are really incompetent!

Yup already wrote letter to my senator (schumer) and congressman. so far, the congressman's the only one who actually bothered getting back to me. i know that someone made an inquiry on my behalf on Jan 22nd to expedite my petition, since that's what they said when i had my original infopass on feb 18th. they have it as "customer query resolved" (ie your application will be adjudicated within 5 months). i also feel that it will come this week (hopefully before my infopass on the 4th). i'm thinking that perhaps it'll just show up in the mail, like yours did.
