Just paid our AOS bill and waiting the co-sponsor's final decision.

He said he will call us tonight to talk about it.

If he decides not to do, then we will try on our own.

At this point, I just want a decision either or not he will help us out. Then things can move along with or without him.

Thanks for asking btw!

I'll be rooting for you approval ;)

Thank you! I hope everything goes smoothly for you guys!

Hang in there even though I know how you feel. Good luck also!!!

I'm in the same boat - got a touch on Jan 27th and still waiting. Went for my infopass apt last thursday on the 18th and found out that apparently the 129F had "been processed" (ie approved) as of Feb 3rd. But no update on the website. the 130 is "still in processing". that's where the hold up - some fat slob sitting on my 130. CSC hadnt sent anything to the NVC yet (they SHOULD have sent the 129F, since it had been approved 3 weeks ago now, but they're waiting to send it along with the 130, so that when the NVC receives it, they'll only have to process the 130, instead of both which is nonsense - they should be sending and processing it as it goes, not hold one back b/c of the other; after all that's the whole point of the K3, is expedited processing for one's spouse!). it did put my mind a little at ease with the 129F approval, since that meant that there were no hitches in the security checks or anything (which of course there shouldnt be at all).

I have another infopass next thursday. hopefully i will get approval before then!

If I make an infopass apt, can they tell me exactly what is going on?

I would have to take time off work and the closest office is about an hour and a half away from me, so I don't want to waste my time if they can't give me some answers. I only filed the CR1, so I know they aren't waiting for one to "catch up" with the other. But if the K3 is no longer valid, why are they waiting for it?

Well kinda...in some cases, the k3 is still processed ahead of the IR-1 (like MINE!!! the USCIS should have sent it over to the NVC to go ahead with the K3 process) and so I guess that's why it's still around. I actually did kinda get piece of mind after i went and found out that the last date updated was feb 3rd (which was NOT on the case status update website; still said Jan 27th on there). and apparently my 129F "had been processed", which when I asked the agent, most likely meant approved. But they still werent done with the I-130 - which is very bizarre, since the info is basically the same, with the financial support evidence in the I-130. The security checks are the same, since its the same petitioner and beneficiary.

anyway, for me, making the appt and going was well worth it. getting that info was important for me and my wife to keep going and know that we didnt screw up the basic paperwork. but it seems like just like us, maybe there's some CSC-wide holdup or something, since you guys have been waiting since the 10th. I'd be curious as to when TatyanaR gets her approval. probably the same fat USCIS slob officer holding both of our cases up...

I live an hour+ away (subway time + walking to the subway) and dont cherish getting up at 5 in the AM in the frigid cold to go to the 7 AM appt time (which I found out is basically 1st come 1st serve - if you get in line early, you can be done early; the appt time dont seem to matter much, at least in NYC). But i found it to be a huge help (maybe psychologically, i dont know) to talk to a human face to face. the local offices do have access to your files (they knew who my wife was, her father's name etc etc). I would do the trip if I could if I were you...

5 months hits on Tuesday for us...

I don't know what in the world the problem is...you would think that if they needed more information they would send an RFE...it just seems they're sitting on our cases for no apparent reason.

And they also seem to think keeping the petitioner in the dark is good policy.

Don't lose hope yet, it could still be the approval. I thought the same about mine, and I got the approval on a Sunday which I definitely didn't expect.

I agree that it is pretty bad how they keep us all in the dark. My case has been at the Ciudad Juarez Consulate for a month now and they still haven't assigned an interview date for my wife. I called today and they said they should assign it within the next two weeks and then the interview will be about two weeks after that. I don't see what the hold up is. Do they not have calendars? Can they not see what dates they have available for interviews?? It's just getting a little bit frustrating, but at least hopefully this part is coming to an end. I really hope you guys get approved very soon!

Thank you all for your replies. Its just messed up because I see people that applied after us get approved and I am happy for them but just upset that they go out of order like that. When I applied for my hubby, I gave birth to our daughter that was born 3mo early which is I am sure because of stress. She spent almost 3mo at the hospital & I had the NICU Dr write a letter thinking maybe that will somewhat expedite the process. But I am sure the envelope has not even been opened till now.

She has now been home since mid Oct and doing good but yet my hubby is missing out and so much! All her little milestones that are so important and so exciting to see.

I did write to the senators of my state. And actually got a letter from both of them yesterday to fill our a Privacy form to help on my behalf that I filled out and faxed back. I have no idea if that will help or not. But I am trying to do everything that I can. Worst thing they can do is say they cant help but at least I will know I tried.
