If the children converted to Judaism would they be allowed to stay? Interesting question.

Israel can make their own laws and apply them. They are the people that have to answer for their actions, not non-Iraelis.

I agree, I'm just concerned they are not enjoying the full fruits of a Multicultural society.

Both countries have immigration policies which insure the desired make-up of their countries. I have read Japan is one of the most difficult countries to get citizenship in.

Anyone know how true this is?

At any rate, not long ago Switzerland ( I think it was Switzerland?) banned Minarets from being built on Islamic temples to preserve the historic nature of their cities..... The outrage across Europe was unbelievable.

Israel goes way beyond that to maintain their culture and not a peep.

As I said before, I support Israel, I just wonder why Switzerland or any other western country can't do too?

Israel does have a path to naturalize non-Israeli legal residents. It's not automatic, and it is at the discretion of the Minister of the Interior

Sounds like you're refering to the Teddy Kennedy legacy that the Obamaites have embraced. Don't forget about the votes that amnestied illegal aliens throw toward those that give them access to social programs and work not available in their own countries. It's not about the country or its' "legitimately vested citizens"...it's all about the party and what is best for it and it's vested cronies.

I don't think anyone said it was wrong... or hypocritical of them, they are doing the very thing one would expect.

What I don't get is the whole "Because of Jewish history" thing.

Look, lets say Ireland were to be flooded by.... oh I don't know, Eskimo's to the point that by doing the math it was clear in a few generations the "Irish" people would be endangered of being over-run on their own homeland.
