Appointment Letter

I am really confused bout this... My fiancee received an appointment letter, it dated FEB. 8 and it is from the Manila Embassy... My fiancee told me that I can ask already an interview date at the USEM... I called the USEM, I gave them my case number, my complete name but I was so disappointed because the operator said that they don't still get my paperworks... The operator told me to double check if that letter is from the Manila Embassy or from the NVC because if it is from USEM, they should have gotten my paperworks or I have a record there... I am so confused and very sad bout this...

My fiancee/petitioner got a letter from NVC last January 24 and then he got an appointment letter last Feb. 8.... What can you say bout this guys? :(

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I'm confusd too. I've never heard of the petitioner receiveing an "appointment letter" from the USEM in Manila. What does this letter say? You will have to continue calling the embassy and they will tell you when you can schedule your interview.

My fiance (now husband) also received a letter - it was the exact same letter that I received from the U.S. Embassy in Manila but I believe his must have come from the NVC. It was addressed to me but with the U.S. address instead of my Philippine address - that was the only difference.

I would think someone is confused - perhaps January was the NOA2/Approval Notice (from USCIS) and Feb.08 was the letter/notice from NVC. The US Citizen/Fiance should contact NVC to be certain the package has left.

 That would be my guess.

Well, my fiancee got the NOA1 last October 2008 and then he got the NOA2 last January 24, 2010... he got the appointment letter dated February 8, 2010... And then my fiancee just got it yesterday... I started calling the Embassy 2 weeks ago and then I called them thrice already... My fiancee told me that the letter says that it is from the Embassy of the US of America, Manila, Philippines and then we were being asked to call the Manila Embassy (1-909-101-7878) to ask for an appointment date... When I called yesterday, the agent couldn't find the case number and says that he couldn't find any records...We don't understand and we are confused why until now, I don't still have any records or why they couldn't find my case number... Since, the letter was dated Feb. 8, so, supposedly, I should have gotten my appointment already...

Later, I will try to call again, that will be the 4th time of calling them... I just hope that I can get an appointment date now but if I can't, my fiancee will show to them the letter that he got from the embassy... and will call and ask what is really going on... Anyone who experienced this situation? I need your answers regarding this matter...

Thanks to all who response to my letter... I really appreciate it... Thanks a lot...
