There are certainly conservatives of all colors. I think the actual question at hand is whether the ethnic composition of this particular fringe is at least remotely reflective of the ethnic composition of the nation or whether it tilts towards one end of the spectrum. I tend to think that the latter would probably be a safe bet.

While you may or may not ruminate about the skin color of the Tea Party people, why isn't the fact that over 90% of blacks vote Democratic of any concern, debate, or issue?

I'm not a bonafied member of any of these groups (yet), but I can see the double standard at play.

BTW I live and work with numerous black guys offshore in the oilfield and I can attest to the fact that most do not think like I do on many issues. Whether this makes me evil or not is someone elses' problem...not mine. I don't base my beliefs and value system on others' opinions and prejudices as to my motives.

Yeah we just had a stunning example of that Locally.

The housing Authority was working to put "affordable housing" units in one of the high income areas...... after much out rage, it was squashed.

The "spread poverty around town" concept, exempts their zip code.

We had the same fight where I live years ago but surprisingly it was not due to the project being built but the agency submitted plans that was not code for our area. It was a fight we won as these codes are there for a reason and to protect everyone. They seemed to believe they were exempt from local codes. At first there were screams of racism.

At first the drive going into and around the project had it where no fire trucks could enter and maneuver around but now they can. The material went from sub standard to standard. Sure it cost more but in the long run it was in everyones best interests that they were forced to conform.

As I stated earlier our housing Authority does not even require able bodied people to work... oh they "encourage" them and "ask" that they do but ...there is no teeth to require people to have a job.

PLacing these miserable people in everyones neighborhood is so indicative of THE LEFT.

-The left loves to reward those who least deserve it... with the same rewards of those who "do" work or do get a skill or education.

-In order to give the "undeserving" what they don't deserve, THE LEFT will tax those that do deserve to pay for the undeserved rewards.

-THE LEFT in a methodical fashion, always seems to -Spread the misery around- in the hopes that someone, somewhere will not have less than someone else.

Right now (As I type this) there are kids not going to school and jacking around when they do go.

Typically they drop out and diminish their options for the future.

In ten years you will look at these same people who by now have a few bastardd kids and no job and blame the kids who stayed in school for it, claiming they created these "disadvantaged people".

There is not a kid I went to school with who did not have every chance to succeed in life. I know the ones who did and the ones who didn't and I know why.

I doubt anyone imagines "simple answers" exist for any real social problems.

In fact I am open to hearing some "new" answers, it's been nearly half a century and trillions later since A Democrat declared WAR ON POVERY.

Not only havn't we won the war but we have even more people in poverty than when we started.

The only thing that was accomplished was the transfer (by force) of money from earners to non earners .....and the birth of an unending government machine to service the "war."

Your problem, Danno, is that you want simple answers where none exist.

He didn't actually blame the left. He blamed the people. It is the fault of the people who didn't study and work hard that they are now in bad situations economically. That isn't blaming the left.

And nobody is asking for simple answers. Life is tough. But when you don't expect people to be responsible and take care of themselves, a lot of them won't.
