I just spoke to an operator about the AVR nor recognizing my case number. She said because their system has been having problems and is still having problems (WHAT?) and that's why it's not recognizing it. Then she gave me the whole encouraging pep talk - "allow 4-6 weeks for us to contact the beneficiary".....

Timeline
I remember the first month I came back to the states after spending 3 months with my hubby.... I cried everytime we talked (so I barely talked to him the first month I was back home) ... I couldnt go onto webcam because everytiime I looked at him I would have physical pain... seriously... hardest 7 months of my life... I have been an emotional wreck.... I think it is easier right now... actually knowing that this journey is almost over.. On more than one occasion I had started to make plans just to move there and wait out the visa... and in reality.. that would be in July.. I would travel back to be with him on our anniversary and just not come back until he could come with me. I am sooo glad that everything is progressing so this isnt really an option right now :P

I so feel your pain! Hubby left when I was 3mo pregnant with out first child. It was one of the saddest days in my life. I too would cry so much when talking to him. I did not want to webcam because I didn't want him to see me crying even though he knew. He missed everything in my pregnancy other then hearing the heartbeat for the first time.

Will all the crying and the stress, I ended up delivering our daughter at 29 wks after 2wks of bed rest at the hospital. When I delivered it was 4:29am so I was all alone with no hubby there or any family. Gisele was in the hospital for 2mo first in the NICU unit, then ICN unit. I went to see her everyday and twice a day. I lived 45min away from the hospital and the drives to and from the hospital wore filled with many tears. Each time I left the hospital it would break my heart because I left empty handed.

Gisele was born healthy just very very tiny. She had now been home since Oct and is thriving and doing great but yet hubby is still missing all the milestones. I must of sent over 5000 pictures and he has seen over 100 videos but yet it's not the same.

Well that's my sad story but happiness for us is so close I can almost feel it! Trying to stay strong even though at times it's the hardest thing to do! Giseles smile helps me be stronger and my husbands voice.

Like the quote goes, what does not kill us makes us stronger!

I am having the same problem paid my IV bill on march 1 and as of today still in process. I called today(before the portal was active again) the operator told me that the site was having problems and that if the cover sheet was the only thing holding me up to submit the cover sheet I already had for the AOS the bar code is the same. I may wait another day to do this to see if it will show up paid ,but at least it is an option

I agree with estrella........ The DS-230 package has all the originals so if it was me I wouldn't take a chance eventhough what the NVC operator said might very well be true. But again I don't have a whole lot of faith in them.
