GW,

Oh no! Were the numbers in the date of birth you used on the DS-3032 e-mail accidentially transposed? I'd say call back and talk to an operator about the e-mail. Maybe you won't need to send in the birth certificate. If you do, though, just send it in without a fight. I'm sorry to hear about your hiccup and hope it gets worked out quickly.

Checked the email again just to make sure, but the dates are all fine.

No news yet. The husband will call in an hour. Hopefully, there will be good news to report.

My husband and I met in college in junior year--his roommate was a friend of mine. We started dating in February 2008, got engaged in March 2009, graduated in May 2009, lived together for a month before we made the stupid-#### decision to go the CR-1 route instead of AOSing from my F-1. Why, Lord, why!?! So I came back home mid-June and have been here since then. Last I saw him was for 2 weeks in August, when we got married. We're still debating if he'll be present at he interview. I think if we get a May interview, and it looks like the most probably scenario right now, he might make a trip here in April. I miss him so much, it's heartbreaking. Especially after a year and a half together in person, it feels like going cold turkey.

I do hope all of us are reunited with our spouses soon. Come on, NVC.

We talk to each other every day, so in the middle of something, I will ask a random question "When is my son's birthday?" What do I do for a living?" Stuff like that. I figure if he can answer when his mind is in the middle of something else, he will remember it at the interview.

I do this same thing :D I think I quiz him better than a professional in a stokes interview!! ..... sometimes I just look for any excuse to be mean

Hey! Missed ya today Sachinky

What a nice story you two have- I can imagine being together and then ripped apart is like going cold turkey! Still, the CR-1 WILL be the best choice I think. And your almost there.

I've done some calculations and I have only had a total of 37 days with my husband. We have been together since Sept 2008. 37 days. I cant imagine what it would be like to actually see him everyday. Almost unreal to think about!

:ot2: Ok, daydreaming there...

YES! Post any news your husband may hear today.

Me and hubby met in 2007 when I was living in the US on a J-1 visa.

We moved in together when my J1 expired (10/2008) and I change my status for B2, which was valid until April 09.

After that we also made the stupid decision to do CR1/K3 (you are not alone Sachi!). So I came back in April and we were apart until August 2009.

He came in August for the wedding and is still here with me.

So, the longest time we spent apart was 4 months. It was soooo hard! God! That's why we decided he would stay here until my visa goes through.

It's been nice for him to stay in Brazil. He is getting to know my family better, culture, my friends and everything related to where I come from.

We can't wait to go back to the US and re-start our lives... we've been living with my mom (who is a GREAT person). But we can't wait to have our own place and PRIVACY! We Brazilians are very 'warm' people, so everybody is snooping their noses in each others life all the time, lol.

Oh Gosh, I miss our lives in the US. We lived together for 7 months... I wish I could go back in time :(

Hmmm... when you put it like that, I can understand why we have to prove our relationship. 19 days for us. But oh.... The stories... In those 19 days we've gone through so many parts of being in a relationship. Both the fun ones and the not-so-fun ones. Going halfway around the world just to end up fighting... Ugh! But now we giggle about those times.

Just imagine how things will be in another 37 days, Ats. How great!!

Mrs!, I totally agree with you about the privacy part. I love my in-laws and Thai friends, but they can be so nosy at times! I know you only wish us well and don't really understand why I don't want to tell you everything, but please.... please.... just stop asking and poking and snooping!
