QUESTION!!

So, what is the longest you have had to be apart from your spouse? The longest I have been apart from my husband was 3 mos. If we get a May interview, it will be four months and the longest so far. Im curious to see everyone elses experiences...

and I'm killing time while we wait for the portal to become active and for the NVC to give us some updates.

We were apart for 2 months, then I flew to see him and stayed for 3 weeks, now it's been a little over 3 months since we saw each other.... Hoping for a May interview :crying:

That's good news. Might as well get it in if you can. Late afternoon is... I wonder when????

Yeah, I didn't want to ask her what "late afternoon" meant because I was so glad that she said that it would be fixed today. But I will check after 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. because that is what I consider late afternoon.

Mrs. Thomas

NVC:

oh dear here is a timeline of my relationship

january 2001 we met online in a yahoo group.. I knew who was him only because we have a friend in common

june 2003 we met in person in USA.. he could not travel he was not a legal resident

october 2004 he came to visit me after he became a legal resident.HERE IS WHEN WE BECAME BOYFRIEND AND GIRLFRIEND

April 2005 I went to USA for 5 month and stay with him with at J1 visa

after that he has come at least every 3 months and the last time I was there was November 2006.. after that I apply for a tourist visa and they say no weird thin after I had 3 visas I think they know that I have my boyfriend there.

April 2009 we get married

so as you see after we get involved in a serious relationship from October 2004 until Feb 2005 so it was 5 months.. I will not count before that

so as he is coming next week and let say that I receive a interview for may or june .. it will be 2-3 months...

I know. Its almost surreal now, isnt it? that the journey is almost over. Then a NEW journey begins for us all! Thank you for your well wishes! I'm gonna miss you guys once this is all over. We should all exchange emails/contact info so we can keep in touch after this immigration storm blows over. I want to know how everyone is and hear updates on the rest of our lives!

Hello All,

I just called them again and I can't believe that they have not yet reviewed my DS-230 yet. This is insane. It's been over 2 weeks now and the operator says it doesn't yet show in the system. I asked, "Well what about the AVR then when it says it HAS been reviewed and that there is missing information?" and she says "Since the 230 isnt in there, it IS for the DS-230 and not to worry about what the AVR says"..

I dont know what or who to trust anymore...

The longest stretch my wife and I have been apart is 7 months, and that was way too long. After we were together again I promised her that I wouldn't let us be apart that long again. 3 months later I visited her and now it's been another 2 months. I cannot wait to be with her again.

SJ - that is insane. I hate the fact that we KNOW it doesnt take the 6-8 weeks they tell us for processing. I dont blame you for not trusting anyone. I do think the operators have no idea and no real sound info to base what they tell us. Id give it a couple days friend.

 Love finds a way to give us strength. Its hard enuff being apart for a month or two- 7 mos is a long time to miss someone. I tell my husband that I missed him before I met him. (L)

####### ####### ####### #######! I am waiting right now to talk to them.... I'll post if there is any changes. I'm going to give the "2 week" argument as well. I STILL DON'T EVEN KNOW IF I have an RFE! Come on people, we need some good news from SOMEONE : ) : ) : )

Maybe they are delaying us so they don't have new paperwork.

To whoever posted....I think the message on NVC is a man, not a woman, lol.

I have done 2 stints without seeing him for 4 months.

If we get a May interview we will be the 3rd stretch at 4 months.
