Waiting to speak to NVC operator... trying to confirm that they didnt jack up my email address the last time I spoke with them.... :D

sooooo.... I have been thinking alot about our interview and wanted everyone to share what they plan to bring... here is my list:

* Myself :P <via my passport that my hubby will show at time of interview>

* Pics that have been collected and put in a flimsy binder so it can slide through the window

* All the copies of the packets we sent the USCIS and NVC

* Bills/Bank accounts with both our names

* about 1000 printed emails<yahoo,facebook and orkut>

* Phone records from the first time we talked to present <included bills and itimized call list showing my number and his number with how many mins>

* reciepts from the wedding <the place we rented, the sari, hotel rooms, food, invitation cards etc.>

* DVD of the wedding <dont think that they will even accept this, but bringing it anyways>

* Handwritten letters from my kids stating they cant wait to be with there new dad :P <probably wont need, but couldnt hurt... the youngest even drew a pic of the whole family united together>

* astrology reading comparing the compatibility of our natal charts <if they know anything about astrology our moons are at the same degree... means we are extremly compatable> Probably still wont be looked at but thought it was neat to include :D

looking for more ideas on what to bring... open to suggestions

ooo an after thought... I didnt include all the required docs.... thought that was a given <medical, interview letter etc> was just talking about additional things ppl bring

yikes hehe a lot of stuff... I must say that for the emails you dont need all the emails printed.. what I did is I print the list of emails sent/received.. and 10-15 emails per year..per example I met my husband online in 2001 so I printed from 2001-to present..some Messenger chats..I made some print screen of both of us speaking by the web cam... etc..

Ok Im out of the loop its been since Oct. 2009 since I finished the I-864 ez and paid the IV bill, my husband is now completed his military and he is finishing gathering his docs that we need our translation for the military he is doing today.

So the question is on the DS-230 that we have completed I printed off the cover letter it says they have recieved the AOS and still waiting the ds-230, but my cover letter with the bar code is saying ( Checklist Letter Response) the mailing address is to NVC, ATTN: DR, 31 Rochester Ave. Ste.100 Porthsmouth, NH 03801-2909 so do you think this is because its been since oct? But this is the cover letter that was sent to me in Oct. after they recieved my AOS. Am I on the right track here?

Hello All,

So remember how my AVR had updated on Saturday morning to say "The NVC has reviewed your packet of information and found information missing or incomplete and sent a letter on MArch 5th"?

Well, I called this morning and the operator said that was because they still hadnt reviewed the DS-230.

So then I asked "Wait, what about my AOS packet then?"

And she says, "Well, it looks here like your AOS was reviewed and accepted and entered into the system on the 5th!".

So is she implying that had I sent both the packets together I wouldnt have had this "false" RFE?

Or does she not have the updated information about the whole thing. I mean come on, my DS-230 was delivered about 3 weeks ago now. Could they really not have looked at it till now? When Lashbanda's was delivered on the 22nd and he already has a case complete?

That's the only thing that's throwing me off right now. I am thinking about calling again and speaking to someone else.

Should I?

I think it's both yes and no. Your AOS and DS 230 docs will be reviewed seperately regardless. Had you sent them in they still would have had to review separately. At times, it's possible for two departments to review on the same day. It's more coincidence in timing than anything else.

The instructions on the web state specifically that you should not send anything in unless requested by the NVC.

If my calculation is correct, I am 90% confident that my case will be complete or RFEd sometimes today or Tuesday -- that's if they are on a roll.

If they are a bit slow I anticipate Wednesday or Thursday this week. If I don't hear somethign back by Friday, I think there'll be some RFEs coming my way.

Good luck to all.

That is the cover letter they send for all RFE's and it simply means they are waiting for the DS230 - (no matter how long its been) Your good! Send off the DS230 as soon as you can.

I called NVC...

They said, waiting for DS230.. If you already sent the DS230 then just ignore this message... It will take more time to enter the DS230 information into the AVR.

wowe

:bonk:

Mine took a total of 3 days for them to accept and post my DS230 in the system. I fedexed it last Monday. (anticipating a RFE, however)

IT LOOKS YOUR AOS WAS ACCEPTED... NOW WAIT FOR CASE COMPLETE ...

GREAT NEWS!

This is gonna be a good week guys. Hope that payment portal comes up so people can get their bills paid and moving.

So heres a funny question...

I was looking at all of our docs that my husband has had to sign, etc and noticed he has THREE distinct ways he signs his name. One is a big "T" with the rest printed. The second is a big "T" and the rest all nice and spelled out in cursef, and the last is a mutation of the latter. Um... I sure hope its not red-flagged. I kinda wish his signature was the SAME in all the things he signs. He tells me he's always been that way. That the only thing that is consistent is the big "T"

Hes a  one...

when did you email your ds3032? hang on there.. the NVC will send you a confirmation email as soon as they received it. it takes a few days :star: ..wait for your ds3032 to be generated, but in my case i emailed it as soon as i had our case number...my ds3032 email was accepted by NVC and received their email confirmation 3 days after i sent it  Good luck

Thank you! I just read somewhere that there was an automated email response you get as soon as you send it out. So I was freaking out. Also is it strange that I have my case number but when I call NVC and they ask me to enter the letters infront of my numbers they say they can't find it.... Then I punch in USCIS number and they read me the NVC number fine.... GRRRRRRRRRRRR.......
