NVC March 2010 Edition!

I can only imagine how frusterated that is. BUT! Don't get too down... M2009 - its a new week and SOMETHING has to move. So, lets all keep positive and think BIG.

Yay! WEEKEND IS OVER.. I sure hope if any RFE's come about, they are quick to resolve and we all get case completes SOON. I want payment portals to work, docs to get accepted! Cant wait for a month to pass and to see what our timelines look like then!

I'm so anxious. Hubby says today that its not even impatience we feel, but just anxiety like a ship that's been at sea for ages, and finally sees the land in the horizon, but cant even touch it. Seeing it so close is almost too much to bear! But we see it... and things could be worse. GOODBYE WEEK ONE!

hi..just want to clarify things about the mailing address so as for me to prepare everything while waiting for the barcoded sheets...i believe you sent both your AOS packet and your DS230 packet together, right? and someone here mentioned that these two packets will be reviewed separately or i mean will be forwarded to two different departments. so just wondering what address did you use when you sent them both? .. was it the address on the AOS barcoded sheet or the one on the IV barcoded sheet? or should i just place each packet in separate envelopes and write the specific address on each envelope as well? .. thanks in advance

Hi! Yes, I sent both packages in the same time but in separate envelopes. When you print the cover sheet you will see that the department is different.

The address is the same, but for the AOS it says: Attn CMR - AOS and for DS: attn CMR.

I'll try to post the cover sheet here, than you all can have an idea how it looks like =)

So I emailed the DS -3032 and did not get a confirmation. I was reading that they send you an a response, and if you don't receive it, it means it did not go through spam filters....Is that true? Do I wait? Do I resend it from a different email? Help!

when did you email your ds3032? hang on there.. the NVC will send you a confirmation email as soon as they received it. it takes a few days ..wait for your ds3032 to be generated,but in my case i emailed it as soon as i had our case number...my ds3032 email was accepted by NVC and received their email confirmation 3 days after i sent it Good luck

Ok! I always had curiosity about the barcoded sheets. So here are the mysterious cover letters!!!

I called NVC...

They said, waiting for DS230.. If you already sent the DS230 then just ignore this message... It will take more time to enter the DS230 information into the AVR.

Waiting to speak to NVC operator... trying to confirm that they didnt jack up my email address the last time I spoke with them....

sooooo.... I have been thinking alot about our interview and wanted everyone to share what they plan to bring... here is my list:

* Myself <via my passport that my hubby will show at time of interview>

* Pics that have been collected and put in a flimsy binder so it can slide through the window

* All the copies of the packets we sent the USCIS and NVC

* Bills/Bank accounts with both our names

* about 1000 printed emails<yahoo,facebook and orkut>

* Phone records from the first time we talked to present <included bills and itimized call list showing my number and his number with how many mins>

* reciepts from the wedding <the place we rented, the sari, hotel rooms, food, invitation cards etc.>

* DVD of the wedding <dont think that they will even accept this, but bringing it anyways>

* Handwritten letters from my kids stating they cant wait to be with there new dad <probably wont need, but couldnt hurt... the youngest even drew a pic of the whole family united together>

* astrology reading comparing the compatibility of our natal charts <if they know anything about astrology our moons are at the same degree... means we are extremly compatable> Probably still wont be looked at but thought it was neat to include

Hello All,

So remember how my AVR had updated on Saturday morning to say "The NVC has reviewed your packet of information and found information missing or incomplete and sent a letter on MArch 5th"?

Well, I called this morning and the operator said that was because they still hadnt reviewed the DS-230.

So then I asked "Wait, what about my AOS packet then?"

And she says, "Well, it looks here like your AOS was reviewed and accepted and entered into the system on the 5th!".

So is she implying that had I sent both the packets together I wouldnt have had this "false" RFE?

Or does she not have the updated information about the whole thing. I mean come on, my DS-230 was delivered about 3 weeks ago now. Could they really not have looked at it till now? When Lashbanda's was delivered on the 22nd and he already has a case complete?

That's the only thing that's throwing me off right now. I am thinking about calling again and speaking to someone else.
