If nothing else, when we get our interview dates, we can e-mail our embassies and request earlier interview dates. They worst that will happen is that they say no.

Im sending my wifes DS230 packet (Finally!!! lol)

Can someone tell me if im missing anything here, I would appreciate it.

NBI/Police Clearance

Marriage Certificate

Her Birth Certificate

Two copies of 2x2 photos (Name, Dob and NVC case # on the back)

Photocopy of her Passport (Biographic Page)

Completed Ds230 form part I & II (II unsigned)

Ayything else fellas?

Looks GOOD. But dont forget an extra copy of everything (form, certificates, clearance) to send with the packet as well as a copy for yourself.

OH! and CHECK it. Not once, not twice, but at least 10 times. Then walk away, drink a latte or a gin and tonic, and then look at it again.

Good job. If you want the originals back, though, send a copy for them to keep on file. Then the originals can be returned to you at the interview. Good luck!!

I am... surviving. Actually decided to just come to work today and do what I can to get my mind of things! Great to hear your going to be adding your name to our list of those waiting for a CC!

BTW, I called the AVR @ NVC and they said they have sent me a latter because my packet is missing some information. Bummer. I hope thats a False RFE because I have not submitted my DS230 packet yet. (Thanks to my wife...grrrr!)

Totally hear you on that. Although, I must say, Im not as stressed as I used to be when I was in the USCIS stage. Now that was stressful lol. Good thing about this though is by the time spring or summer hits, our spouses will be just in time to enjoy that great American weather.

Yes! Oh yes.. I remember the USCIS stage. No updates, just WAITING. Yes! My husbands Jamaican. He will freeze his ####### off even in the summer I am sure. Cant wait for him to see snow.

Dont worry about the AVR message, it sounds like mine- the AOS is received and ready to go, just waiting for the DS230. Call them Monday if you want and they will more than likely tell you that. As that is what they told me!

TatyanaR -> You were asking about the validation for PCC. In Brazil the PCCs are valid for 3 months. But I called the consulate and they said it doesn't matter. They accept up to a year even though it states in the document it's only 3 months.

Send an email to the Embassy and ask them.

ps- I will bring a new one to the interview as well, just in case LOL

Thanks for answering that. To email the embassy, there is a way through the site? Yeah, maybe I will get hubby to get an updated PCC in time for interview but at the same time he hasn't been back to Dubai since 2008 so hmmm.

Any one knows how many months worth of bank statement that we have to send?

I sent 6 months of statements from my personal, business and savings accounts. I did not list any assets. More statements with good balances, the better I thought.

My understanding was that the NVC contacts the embassies and schedules them. Once the date is set, it's pretty difficult to change. I was thinking of sending a pleasant, desperate pleading email for WHEN the NVC contacts Albania, if ALBANIA could please give the SOONEST possible interview imaginable. That would be wonderful if our interviews would be changed to earlier, but i have a REALLY hard time imagining the NVC dealing with changing 1000 appointment dates....I'm putting my money(and a bit of luck) on a nice person at the embassy pitying me. Should we start working on a group form letter to go out to 30 Embassy's tear-soaked and heartfelt?? LOL....maybe with some churros and chocolate sauce?? I'm in Nor Cali, I'll provide a sh**load of wine if it helps us!

Yup. Ill take your word and wont even waste my time calling them then. You're right, I guess your husband will freeze his arge off in this condition lol. My wife is in the Philippines, so it will be the same for her haha. Well need to get back to work, I dont log in much because Ive been so busy lately.
