So it is on DS230

Seeing as you haven't even sent in the DS-230 yet, it's got to be on the AOS. Call them as soon as they open on Monday.

..........

I'm redoing the DS-230 for the husby since we originally listed his address from birth to present instead of from 16 to present. What did you guys put for "In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States?" Husby is a lawyer. Originally we had put "Retail" because he's not going to immediately jump into law once he arrives. Instead, he has a position at his friend's store available if he wants it when he arrives. Does that look bad?

To me, it opens him up for questions about it during the interview. Should he say "Oh, well, I'm going to work at my friends store" he might get dinged for having accepted employment without having authorization to work in the US.

Is "unknown" or "undecided" okay? It would be the truth because he's not certain that he wants to work there. He may just jump right into school.

Ugh!!! All this RFE madness has caused me to nitpick over every little detail and the possible consequences.

Hello fellow NVC Zombies...

I have just woken up(yup at 11:40) and listened to the AVR and I got the dreaded RFE as expected.

I am sure it's on the DS-230 since it didnt say missing financial information. And I know for sure it is for the PCC. I'll call Monday and see if they can confirm this. But my wife is still waiting for the local field Police Officer to come down and do the "inquiry" in India (which basically means they are out to make some money). Until then, I am stuck. Looks like it is going to be May for me guys...

I had high hopes they wouldn't ask for it to be submitted at the NVC since the state website says if passport's less than 6 months old, all they need is the Passport Office PCC.

All hopes have been dashed as of now.

I think I'm gonna be addicted to food porn for the next few weeks to get some solace and comfort.

I'll be checking in though, dontcha think Ima leave you people alone, no sirree...

Till then...

KEEP THE FAITH VJers!!

I'm sorry to hear that! I didn't know about this 6 months rule.... My passport is also less than 6mo old and I sent both PCCs.

Maybe you can talk to a supervisor and try to get around this, since it's stated this info on their website?

If they could forward your case to the Embassy, you could provide the PCC at the interview.

I'd try to talk to them... don't know if it would work though... but give it a shot.

Good luck!

What a crummy start to Saturday morning. The the 3rd RFE..... The odds seem so high to get an RFE.

Life2life - Looks like the RFE is for the DS-230 package

SJ - It really does suck. Good thing is you preemted this RFE and you are already working on it. Hope you will get the PCC soon.

I emailed an inqury to opt in for the Electronic Processing with a un-barcode but signed DS-3032 form to NVCElectronic on March 03. And call NVC lat night, AVR said:"NVC has received the DS-3032, Choice of Agent and Address form. And will send further instructions within the next few weeks..." It did not say when NVC received the DS-3032, I guess it might be on March 05.

I will pay the AOS/$70 fee online after receiving the DS-3032 kit in my email. So I will wait a bit longer, see whether I can get the DS-3032 kit in my email next Monday. And, the sure thing of Electronic Processing as well

Got the "it's BEST TO WAIT for 'sending in the I-864 and the DS-230' - until AFTER yer casefile number is converted from GUZ to GZO" information.

NVC Electronic Processing do helps a lot

Darnell, thank you for helping me to figure the stuff out. Xie xie!

Have a nice weekend!

'getting the ds-3032 kit in yer email is useful, but it won't stop you, if you don't have it'

It is possible to log in to the payment portal without the AOS 'fee bill' info thats in the email.

MOST ppl get the 'ds-3032 kit' in their email because they talked to human @ NVC Hotline, gave them some info, and the NVC clerk pushed a button (which generated the ds-3032 kit and blasts it off into an email queue).

I dunno, if YOU don't have the ds-3032 kit in yer EMAIL - does your spouse have it in their EMAIL ?

I'll find the payment portal link for you - but note it's been down a lot these last 3 days, some computer glitch.

Did you get any response for your Electronic Processing?

AVR said "NVC has received my DS-3032", but I did not get any response for my Electronic Processing, I emailed DS-3032, and asked for participate the Electronic Processing at the same time, they just received the DS-3032? wired

***Note to ALL - this is specific for Electronic Processing at NVC - for a GUZ petition ***

if the AVR said it was accepted, then there's a good chance it was converted to GZO casefile number - you just need to 'get that information'.

BUT.

On any forms that you are sending in, you must use the new GZO case number .

BUT - the casefile itself, whilst in NVC EP - is firstly tied to the email address - so there should NOT be any problem with 'finding yer emailed stuff' at NVC - because of the 'email address' linkage.

Usually, an email notice is sent out , claiming that you've successfully enrolled in NVC EP AND has the new 'GZO' casefile number.

NVC is getting more wonky these days - I suggest you wait until you get the 'successful enrollment/OPT IN' email. It could happen almost any time, though - it's done on some batch queue job for the emailing. If you not have it by Monday, suggest you call NVC and get it- a human might have it there, cross-referenced with the GUZ casefile number. Maybe. A lot of this 'backroom ops' at NVC is tenuous, until more ppl report on 'what happened to them'. We're building up 'histories', though, with MTL and GUZ casefile tracking, though.

***Note to ALL - this is specific for Electronic Processing at NVC - for a GUZ petition ***

Good Luck !
