I have to stop coming here initially it was a great help but it just depresses me to see so many people who applied months after me getting approved, I still havent heard a thing petition hasnt been touched since 2nd october two weeks after they received it. How can they say they process in order they are received when they so obviously dont. i would be happy with an RFE just to know my file wasnt laying in some two year olds toy box coz thier mommy works from home .lol

Christi is also a October filer and got approved yesterday. Maybe your approval is coming.

Life2Live--Can you lay out the contents of your entire package? Maybe we can help you figure out what it is.

I think our RFE was because we had sent in a bank statement from our joint account with our I-130 petition. Maybe they wanted to see an updated one?

We sent in the latest updated bank statement of all three accounts we hold.

Aww. Carly, I'm sorry to hear that they're taking their sweet time with your case. I'm sure it must be super frustrating. If it's getting close to 5 months since you filed, which it sounds like it is, then the good news it that you can get your congressman involved which should force them to do something with your case. Lights a flame under their tail. I hope everything gets resolved quickly for you. Good luck!

oh god I am nervous now after hearing all this RFE..I am sure my husband did not send the Bank stament.I just hope as he has the same 2 jobs for the past 10 years is Ok with them and dont need it

Life2live--Hey man, don't rush. You first need to confirm WHAT the RFE is before you start sending them stuff. Unfortunately you will have to wait for Monday morning.

Its just 10lines of source code to add that kind of information. I can do it for free for them ;-)

As Sachi suggested, tell us what you sent in your AOS package and maybe we can find what's the RFE is about.

I agree with adding the reason in the AVR system.... it would be great!

HEY can you please write down what the message says because if the RFE is for the affidavit it must say something like this

Affidavit of Support RFE:

"The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete on your financial information. The NVC sent a checklist letter on ... "

And the one for the DS 230 I believe says something like this

NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found info missing or incomplete. NVC mailed a letter on indicating what doc missing or incomplete. Please return the missing info to the NVC in and allow 6-8 weeks for review and you will be notified of the results

Hello fellow NVC Zombies...

I have just woken up(yup at 11:40) and listened to the AVR and I got the dreaded RFE as expected.

I am sure it's on the DS-230 since it didnt say missing financial information. And I know for sure it is for the PCC. I'll call Monday and see if they can confirm this. But my wife is still waiting for the local field Police Officer to come down and do the "inquiry" in India (which basically means they are out to make some money). Until then, I am stuck. Looks like it is going to be May for me guys...

I had high hopes they wouldn't ask for it to be submitted at the NVC since the state website says if passport's less than 6 months old, all they need is the Passport Office PCC.

All hopes have been dashed as of now.

I think I'm gonna be addicted to food porn for the next few weeks to get some solace and comfort.

I'll be checking in though, dontcha think Ima leave you people alone, no sirree...

Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just called AVR and it says they received my documents on March 5th!!!!

Oh man, I really hope I get a case complete by next week and be able to get an April interview!!!

I have the same AVR update today morning. My documents have been received on March 5th.

So looks like my AOS package was entered in on March 1st and DS-230 on March 5th.
