Depends on your specific country. For example, the hospital won't do mine until I can give them an interview date. Some people get their medicals done as soon as they get their case #s. Seems best to get it out of the way as soon as possible.

Christi--Atleast 3-4 days. They won't receive your case or assign a case # before that. Might be upto a week.

Good luck on your way. :)

Mine got approved on the 22nd of Feb & case # was available 2nd of Mar.

Second questions; On that one website where it shows how long Police Clearance is good for, it says for United Arab Emirates its good for a year.

Well my hubby got the Police Clearance all ready but his states "Good for 3mo since issue date". You think it will still be okay or?

Tatyana--I don't know the answer to that. What website? MOST consulates accept PCCs for a year from their date of issueance. However, if there is a specific date of expiration, then my guess would be that, yes, he'd need a new one. Mine for example, does not have a date of expiration. Check with your lawyers? If you do need one, NVC will tell you to bring it for the interview. When was it issued?

Pay attention, NVC noobs. Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

Suggestions:

1) Have the beneficiary mail SIGNED extra DS230s to you so that you have them handy in case something goes wrong. Or you get hit by a dreaded RFE.

2) If you just received your NOA2, THIS is the time to get your tax stuff and police certificates sorted out. Don't waste time on this.

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

3-4 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

3-4 days to receive emailed links after case # has been assigned and email addresses been given to NVC operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

3-5 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

3-4 days for IV bill to be PAID.

7-9 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

I'm still here and still waiting.I could'nt resist calling them again after Lashbanda broke the good news.

I ended up speaking with a rude operator.

I'm starting to think they DO keep a log of all the times you call, coz the operators just keep getting ruder and ruder (is that a word?) every day.

Or maybe its just how they are as the week progresses.

Anywho...

She said it was still under review and that I should call back end of next week, like that's gonna happen...

Oh well, I guess Ima havta take to cooking too to get my mind off of this stuff.

I think I might make me some traditional Hyderabadi Biryani...mm mm mmmm..... :P

(Look it up,its an awesome dish created for kings) ;)

you make some Biryani, please post some food porn fotos of it? Purty Please?

Ya, I know what it is - My local cooks it with jalapeno peppers (YUK) but still tastes good.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

to be clear(er) - if lilib is actually opting in for NVC Electronic Processing (she can, she's to be interviewed in Guangzhou)

then she can't use the template.

She has to submit a SIGNED DS-3032 in PDF format, plus a specific subject header,

plus some specific data in the body of the email.

it's totally 'different' than just 'emailing in the email template' as part of ascii text in the body of an email.

NVC Electronic Processing is cool, but if she doesn't follow the directions, to the letter, she's gonna get stalled.

Stalled at NVC, sucks.

lilib - if yer reading this - hey !

remember - it's a parallel process, aye?

two major things for you to do -

1. pay on the online payment portal and

2. send off electronic versions of documents, in pdf format, to the special NVC email address.

For GUZ-bound petitions - it's BEST TO WAIT for 'sending in the I-864 and the DS-230' - until AFTER yer casefile number is converted from GUZ to GZO. You can still pay the AOS fee of 70 bucks, immediately, if you have received that 'DS-3032 kit' in yer email already.

If you don't have a DS-3032 kit in yer email - you won't be able to pay online at the portal.

I suggest (again) you reread http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...onic_Processing

and start making notes, on paper, for what to do. xie xie !

----

I emailed an inqury to opt in for the Electronic Processing with a un-barcode but signed DS-3032 form to NVCElectronic on March 03. And call NVC lat night, AVR said:"NVC has received the DS-3032, Choice of Agent and Address form. And will send further instructions within the next few weeks..." It did not say when NVC received the DS-3032, I guess it might be on March 05.

I will pay the AOS/$70 fee online after receiving the DS-3032 kit in my email. So I will wait a bit longer, see whether I can get the DS-3032 kit in my email next Monday. And, the sure thing of Electronic Processing as well

Got the "it's BEST TO WAIT for 'sending in the I-864 and the DS-230' - until AFTER yer casefile number is converted from GUZ to GZO" information.

NVC Electronic Processing do helps a lot

Darnell, thank you for helping me to figure the stuff out. Xie xie!

Have a nice weekend!
