NVC March 2010 Edition!

The Invoice Payment Center website is not secure. May be some unsatisfy applicant is not happy with NVC and decide to hack the payment portal. It's a good thing that they took it down. I definitely don't want my financial info to fall into the wrong hand.

what do u mean by they took it down? My payment was still in the process when i was able to log -in this morning.

Hey everyone... A week left for March, but thought I'd start a thread for those going through NVC in the month of March. All March NVC'ers gather here and share your discussions. Speedy journey to all the March 2010 NVC'ers..

After the AOS is paid and submitted..does the package that follows come in the postal mail or email?

I was able to screen captured the web broswer when i check the payment portal about an hour ago. What i got was a warning that the site is not secure. See this screen capture. You'll noticed in the address bar, the HTTPS there's a red line crossing it. Alot of ppl here couldnt log-in yesterday and today. I don't know what the problem is, all i know is what my browser is telling me.

how long did you guys wait on hold for the NVC to answer? i just want to give them my email addy!!! i have for serious waited an hour yesterday. phone battery died while on hold....

Last night I held so long that I fell asleep and woke up just in enough time to here "you will have to call back"

then I called them back and waited another 45 mins...

I have a question... when you listen to your msg when you call the NVC... how do you know if you have an RFE.... I called and the msg said that they had generated a package of documents on March 1st and a packet has been mailed to me, that I should follow the instructions in the packet and mail it back to them, also I should have it in a couple of weeks if I do not then to call them...... DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE AN RFE?????? I think it would be kinda hard to have an RFE when FEdEx didnt even have my package to them until MArch 2

you can dowload it.. dont wait for it.. as soon your payment is cleared print the coverletter and add it to the package

I kinda figured that. But... wow it took them until March 1st to mail me the AOS package infor mation.... thank God for technology

I recieved an email from NVC today... and the subject line had my case number and then (NLH PM INST PKT AGENT) what is this? when I opened the attachment it was just a barcoded cover sheet and told me I need to look at there website for police certification requirements and that a DS-230 needed to be sent it.... I get all that... but what does NLH-? PM-? INST-ruction PKT-packet AGENT mean?
