I am assuming that they wont get to our papers until sometime next week...hopefully before the end of the week with no RFEs.

I too think there is another time that the AVR is updated, probably sometime in the morning.

I can't figure out the deal with the interviews. Looks like most people who have their case completes in the second week of the month, DON'T make the cut-off. Maybe on Monday, but not from Tuesday onwards. Who knows, the whole lot of us might just lucky because of the short month/holidays and whatnot? I do know that Bombay schedules on the last week of the month so hopefully, I'll get the date then if we miss this round. Of course, that'd be for May. We should all realistically prepare for May interviews. And if somehow, we end up with April interviews, then great! I think I actually might call Bombay and see HOW busy April is shaping up to be.

Yeah, i also sent an expedite request due to me being military and recently deployed. I figured I would try...the worst they could do is say no. I would think that if it was approved, they would get us an interview for next month, but i am prepared for a may interview and if we get an april, then that would be really good and surprizing.

God, Gina, I understand how you must be feeling. Three days of not knowing what my RFE was about was enough to drive me bat-###### crazy. I've no idea how you're managing this.

I'm still keeping the faith. If we use VJ as a representative population, then it looks like those who had case completes in February have already been assigned interview dates over the last 7 days or so. So next week, SOMEBODY will have to be assigned. Maybe it'll be us?

P.S.: Anyone else interviewing in Bombay?

Hello everyone! I'm currently waiting for my IV processing fee to go through as "PAID". So in the mean time, I'm getting all my documents and my husband's (beneficiary's) documents together.

I have to apply for a certified copy of my birth certificate today. I can't send my only copy and be left without one. My husband's working on getting a cert copy of his birth cert and our marriage cert (we got married before a judge in Dominica). He already has a police certificate.

I'm thinking about just putting one huge 1"binder together of everything we'll need for when we go down to the interview.

(Civil documents, proof of bonafide marriage, pictures, affidavits from family, etc. )

What do you guys think?

Your IV fee bill will show paid within 24-48 hours. Mine and others here got our cover page within 24 hours. As far as document archiving for interview, I would just scanned everything (PDF) and make into a file. For example: i130_filed.pdf, AOS_Filed.pdf, DS-230_filed.pdf. These files are exactly like the packages i sent out. The idea is to send all 3 files to your spouse/beneficiary. Your beneficiary can just print them out when s/he's preparing for the interview. I would also add some more recent evidences to show on-going relationship (email, snail mails, chat log, phone bills, tax transcripts, etc...).

Still nothing. Booooo NVC!

Deep,

Packet 3 and 4 are names used by K visas. We call Packet 3 the AOS package and Packet 4 the DS-230 package. It's just different terms for the same thing.

"TheBears" ... Thanks a lot... By reading NVC site, Embassy site.... you feel that "Oh S**t" I have missed something.. :star:

A survey question -

How many people feel "something is missed" when all of things are going smooth?

Tharnsur,

I think you're right. It won't be long now. Yay!

WaitingforHubby,

I'm thinking the binders may be too big to slip through the window. I don't know if your embassy is like the one in Bangkok, but the slots for handing over documents aren't very deep.

For us, I made binders of the three packets we sent in -- I-130 and documents, AOS and documnets, and DS-230 and documents. For the interview evidence -- pictures, phone records, receipts, cards, letters, e-mails, etc. -- I'm going to use thinner report covers. Pictures in one. Phone records in another. Written communication in another. And so on. The blue ones will be submitted at the initial document intake, while the back ones will be for Husby to submit if the official requests more evidence. A copy of all of this will be in the 4th binder. Of course, the binders are for Husby and probably won't be needed by the officer.

No, I haven't actually assembled the report cover evidence yet. If I did, what would I have to do while waiting for a case complete?

A pic-a-ture of the above. Husby is going to freak out and call as soon as he receives it. "Honey, what the heck did you just send me?!"
