Aiiii amiga, I think you are right! Back when I was calling to get my case number I called at 10pm and there was nothing. Next morning I called again, and there it was.

I'm one day behind you. Hope to get updated tomorrow!!!! I can't wait to have the interview date, so I can plan everything... hotel, plane tickets to RJ, etc.

I'm getting a little ahead of myself I know but I'm not sure how many copies of which forms need to be sent with the DS-230 stuff? I read here that the original DS-230 as well as one photocopy but LingChe's shortcut makes it sound like all the forms need an original and photocopy submitted? Really want to get all this exactly right on the first shot

I'm also not sure about the tax forms. If I submit three years of transcripts, do I still need a photocopy of my most recent year and do I still need to include w-2's ? I'm sure all of this is answered in these threads somewhere but I can't seem to find the right answers. I really do use the search button

For the DS230 we sent all the originals and made a copy of the package for our records.

For taxes, we sent:

2009 tax return, W2, DIV1099, INT1099 (hope to get the transcripts by interview date - just in case).

2008 tax transcripts

2007 tax transcripts

You may want to consider filling your 09 taxes soon, if haven't yet. It's likely the Consulate will want to see it at the interview.

I was hoping to wait until she got here to file. I'd just planned on sending '08, '07 and '06 taxes. I ordered transcripts a while back so i already have those. I could go ahead I guess if I get the w-7 for a tax id number for her. I really don't want to file just yet though. You think it will be a problem if I don't file yet?

I don't think you will have a problem with NVC, since the due date for taxes is April 15th. I would have it ready for the interview though. Some Consulates are already asking for it.

OMG... I am so pissed.... I just got off the phone with the NVC... and I was talking to some guy... who could NOT properly speak english!!!!!! I thought this was on the job requirements that I saw someone post yesturday?????!!!!????!!! well I think he has FU$&ed up my email address... cuz he couldnt understand ENGLISH even after I was like s as in sam, a as in apple, b as in boy, l as in love..... etc... I had to freaking repeat it 7 times 7 miserable aggervating times!!! Now I am sure that he was changing it or something... I told him that what was in the computer was correct... that there was no need to change it!!!!! AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGG!!!! All of this just to see when they thought they would start processing there damn mail!!! he told me probably by tuesday??// was having a great day till this jack a$$ pissed me offf
