The court dismissed my petition for annulment when my lawyer failed to comply to the return receipt sent to the Solicitor's general. He giving me money to re-file my case. I told him that I am going to file a disbarment case if he can not revive my case. I will really file a disbarment case so he can not continue to damage other people who has trusted him to fight for their case. The motion of reconsideration was granted. I got another lawyer.

As long as I know I am right and have substantial evidence to prove my claim, I fight for justice. Its the lawyer's job to perform his job according to the oath he took.I agree that simple submission of documents and petitions should be meticulously prepared and studied. The law does not excuse ignorance to anyone especially to lawyers.

I believe that your lawyer committed negligence. You can either sue him for damages he caused to you or just forgive and forget.

I really don't want to deal with him anymore so I would just let him go.

05.25.10: Hubby's interview @ 7:30am. Thank you LORD!!!!

05.25.10: Visa approved & picket up @ VFS - THANK YOU GOD!

2009-12-31 : Paid AOS fee ($70)

2010-01-05 : fee showed PAID

2010-01-07 : sent DS3032

Hey guys. Just peaking in from a kiosk in a hotel. I just logged in to give you guys the great news. CASE COMPLETE. YAY!!!

I called the AVR yesterday and he says that the case has been complete as of April 5th.

I asked him if there were any problems with my AOS or DS-230 and he said that there was a problem with the AOS.

He said that a new up to date one would have to be submitted at the interview because the one that they received was from a year ago.

That's it!! No biggie!!

So he said that I'm just waiting for an interview date from the consulate. My husband and I are so excited. :dance:

7/12/2008 Filed I-130.

3/1/2010 Initiated Payment of IV Processing Fee says "IN PROCESS".

3/9/2010 IV Processing Fee says "PAID".

3/23/2010 DS-230 and civil documents FedExed to NVC.(should arrive 10:30 3/24)

3/24/2010 DS-230 and civil docs received by NVC. Signed by K. StLaurent.

04/05/2010 Case complete @ NVC according to AVR. Sign In Failed.

5/12/2010 Hubby's Going to get Medical Exam done.

5/13/2010 Med Exam should be completed and picked up.

5/14/2010 Our son and I are meeting Hubby in Barbados.

05/18/2010 Interview date. :( No yes, but no no either!

05/25/2010 I DHL'ed the I-160 waiver, hardship letter, I-864, and supporting documents to Barbados Embassy.

05/27/2010 Requested Documents DELIVERED to US Embassy in Barbados.

--/--/---- Documents (I-601 Waiver and Hardship Letter) DELIVERED to Homeland Security in Santo Domingo.

--/--/---- I-601 APPROVED...hopefully.

--/--/---- I received the approval letter.

I guess I'll also include myself in the March thread and maybe even April. I got my NOA2 on March 4 and till now I have not heard anything from NVC and i've been calling everyweek and they still haven't received anything yet. They told me 2-4 weeks, if not wait the 90 days. :(((( I hope it doesn't take 90 days. Anybody experience this?

Please don't. You're NOT a CR-1 visa person, at all. K-1 visa ppl posting here is mostly a waste of time.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Well, that was a rude way to put it! You could have simply guided her to the right place in this forum! Some people find it hard to navigate the site and are confused by the visas.. a simple friendly "your not in the right thread" is all thats necessary.
