Hang in there, regaring their 10-15 days, I would disregard it, because of their usual "we'll contact you in 4-6 weeks". I can't imagine how slowly they have to move for them to take 10-15 days to pull something from the file they are already reviewing... :bonk:

Yes praying for that!

YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY BABY!!!

I sure hope so! Praying it won't take 10-15 days.

Tatyana, have you been to his office yet...to kick him in the groin? Dear gawd, a lawyer no less :( Sure sorry but at least you know and can fix it asap!!

 Glad my hubby is not here because I am sure he would.

Update;

Called NVC & bypassed the operator & spoke to the supervisor. Told her that the wavier was included with the paperwork I sent to the USCIS. She said I should of included another one with the DS230 paperwork ( crying.gif ). I asked if they could research hubbys file they got from USCIS & pull that one. She said she will have someoen pull the file & they will take a look but can take 10-15 days, maybe sooner. crying.gif

Meanwhile, I asked if I can still submit it while they are researching the USCIS file which she said yes I can.

But she said to mail it instead of emailing it. Even though email seems faster, it will take longer. She said to include the barcoded page & mail it to the 31 address.

Lawyer update; Lawyer emailed me back stating that the paperwork missing is my Birth Certificate not the J1 Visa. I emailed him back stating that I spoke to NVC & they specifically said it was the J1 Visa.

Then he tried to say because it was not listed on the checklist as a requirment they figured its not needed. I stated I spoke with other J1 ppl & they had a problem with this. Then he also said to wait for an official request from NVC & then submit it which I told him that the supervisor stated I do not need to wait for the official email.

Then he said drop it off at my office & we will take care of it. I said, no thank you! I will go myself to a FedEx facility & overnight it.

In process of working on the package & will go to FedEx in about 2hrs (lunch time) to drop it off to overnight to NVC so they receive it by 10:30am.

Nice work Tatyana ........ Back up on your feet in no time.....good.gif

In writing- you can even fax. Simply say " I no longer wish to have you represent me/us on our CR1 etc. Please let me know when I can come pick up my file!

They might charge you to photocopy it. and look at your retainer/contract to see what if any fees you are responsible for or how the contract was drafted. Every state is diff and Id hate you to have to pay for something ya kno???

Got it!!!!

You all have been so amazing.

I am in a lil bit in a better mood now. What soothes my nerves sometimes is my daughter. After I spoke to the operator & confirmed what was missing, Gisele was kind of tossing & turning in her bassinet. So I took her out & put her on the bed with me. Her breathing next to you is so soothing knowing you brough this beatiful child into the world.

But I won't go into how she takes over the whole bed & I am forced to sleep on the edge because of her highness. :innocent:

Sounds good. I don't think the contract states anywhere anything about letting them go & what happens after.

How about at NVC since they have my attorneys info? Will I just have to fill out a DS3032 (?) form? Will that set me back more or?
