Update;

Called NVC & bypassed the operator & spoke to the supervisor. Told her that the wavier was included with the paperwork I sent to the USCIS. She said I should of included another one with the DS230 paperwork ( :crying: ). I asked if they could research hubbys file they got from USCIS & pull that one. She said she will have someoen pull the file & they will take a look but can take 10-15 days, maybe sooner. :crying:

Meanwhile, I asked if I can still submit it while they are researching the USCIS file which she said yes I can.

But she said to mail it instead of emailing it. Even though email seems faster, it will take longer. She said to include the barcoded page & mail it to the 31 address.

Lawyer update; Lawyer emailed me back stating that the paperwork missing is my Birth Certificate not the J1 Visa. I emailed him back stating that I spoke to NVC & they specifically said it was the J1 Visa.

Then he tried to say because it was not listed on the checklist as a requirment they figured its not needed. I stated I spoke with other J1 ppl & they had a problem with this. Then he also said to wait for an official request from NVC & then submit it which I told him that the supervisor stated I do not need to wait for the official email.

Then he said drop it off at my office & we will take care of it. I said, no thank you! I will go myself to a FedEx facility & overnight it.

:bonk::crying::unsure::angry::devil::blush::wacko::blink::hehe::huh::(:o

In process of working on the package & will go to FedEx in about 2hrs (lunch time) to drop it off to overnight to NVC so they receive it by 10:30am.

Yah your Lawyer just made a small mistake i think. But my cousins should be reported.

I agree!

Oh I would blame the lawyer too!! AND tell them that. You didn't pay out all this money to get a RFE. You could have done that on your own. I would be so pissed! I would tell everyone that I talk to in the office how unsatisfied you are with their service and you expect to compensated for the set back that you are experiencing because of their lack of better judgement of taking the paperwork when you first offered it.

UGH!! I cannot stand someone doing an extremely sloppy job of what they are trained to do!! :angry::angry:

LOL! Yes, I have a very low tolerance for sloppy work!!! :blush:

I agree with you! If I am paying someone to do a job for me, I expect it be done perfectly. Thats how the world works! I am in the process of dealing with him. But he is trying to say its not his fault because it was not on the checklist.

oh yeah and the doctor who cut off the wrong leg just made a small mistake too!!! :angry::angry:

:rofl: at least I can still laught! But now thats a sad topic.

Oh. Tatyana :(

I wish you have see my rfe on march 9 and have learn from there lucky is something you can fix right away hang on there baby

I know stupid me, I am kicking myself also now! :bonk:

Hang in there, regaring their 10-15 days, I would disregard it, because of their usual "we'll contact you in 4-6 weeks". I can't imagine how slowly they have to move for them to take 10-15 days to pull something from the file they are already reviewing... :bonk:

I believe you have all the reason to blame him. If I am in your place I will do the same and will feel very mad. I will even terminate him and worst to hold him liable for his negligence. A simple mistake committed by a lawyer can cause life and future. I can forgive him but I cant continue to hire an incompetent lawyer. Practicing law profession is close to perfection.

Damage has already been done. Pouring your emotions can helunload your bad feelings. Just accept and move. Things may be worst now as it becomes better.

To prevent this mistake again, you may help double check the corrections and whatever forms that your lawyer will submitt. Time is the essence.

I just had my sif yesterday. I am sad to hear from NVC that interviews here for April in the Philippines is full. I might have a May interview. Maybe your love one might be able to have a May interview. Lets just hope and pray that our wishes will be fulfilled

Yes I agree! As long as hubby has a May interview, I will still be happy! Just don't tell the lawyer that. :bonk:

:bonk::crying::unsure::angry::devil::blush::wacko::blink::hehe::huh::(:o

In process of working on the package & will go to FedEx in about 2hrs (lunch time) to drop it off to overnight to NVC so they receive it by 10:30am.

Hang in there!!!! And get a refund from the lawyer - I have had luck before with "contracts" by simply stating I have upheld my part of the contract while "party in question" have not -- this even worked for a cell phone carrier. Total BS the lawyer is trying to pull.
