LOL! Ok, Darnell I think I'm about to receive some serious sarcastic banter from you over this one because I just found out I have been laboring under a big misunderstanding. I have been waiting for an email with an I-864 form with a barcode on it, like the DS-3032. Well, it appears this magic form does not exist. I did in fact just get off of the phone with a live person at the NVC who informed me that the cover sheet (which I already have saved to my computer, I might add) is all I will be getting specifically for our case for the AOS paperwork and that I can just download the forms myself. WOW! I'm trying to retrace my thought process to see where I got that mixed up. But I am posting here in case someone else somehow thinks the same thing so they don't have to go through the same thing. I think I'm beginning to take attention to detail too seriously at this point...but I guess that's still a good thing since I'm getting older and I tend to make stupid errors, like this, more often than I used to.

Now to fill in some more dates on the timeline...I love to see them fill up and get closer to having my honey here!

Oh and food porn fotos....huh???

Hey - no worries. No sarcasm from me, here, about this. I might talk about you elsewhere, never reveal who you are, though.

read this soonish - it's a 'step by step process for handling yer stuff at NVC using the online payment portal as yer source of 'what to send next' - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3560467

then map out yer plan of attack at the online payment portal. The I-864 and DS-230 are downloadable forms - I've links for the pdf fillable versions at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...onic_Processing (ignore the content and instructions, just get the forms)

ya - food porn. photos of food that you've cooked, personally. I'm on a diet .. grrr.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

And here is the phallic mushroom... They were popping up all over the place at the mini golf center!!! We had a good laugh... NOT so yummy though I would venture to guess!!!

oh my - not food porn ! that's a poisonous mushroom!

ok - basic rules of food porn:

1. it must be something that you cooked.

2. it must be taken on yer camera

3. it must be edible, by humans.

4. no requirement to resemble male or female body parts

Usually, during CNY (Chinese New Year) - families join together at home, and cook for 3 days - its a lot of food, hence the 'food porn' moniker. If you need a break, and need to see more food porn, check out the first 5 minutes of movie 'Eat Drink Man Woman'. You might need to watch it a few times, that chef is mondo fast.

back on topic.

I wonder, for March 2009 now - if NVC will start making the 2 bills payable quickly, on the same day. someone else here 'had that condition' on the payment portal , but I'm wondering if it was like that because of

--small time lag on her part and

--ds-3032 being accepted

or if it was just a fluke?

Oh Well.

Time to check in with my wife - y'all have a good evening..

Tatyana--Here's my guess. He will need a Dubai PCC for his passport. And a PCC from his local police station, wherever he is currently living. What embassy will he interviewing at?

Hopefully, NVC can sort through the mail quickly. Stupid weather, screwing everything up.

Pay attention, NVC noobs. Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled. :)

Sorry if my post was confusing. He is now living in India and has been since May. I am somewhat confused by the link you sent me. I looked at it before and it made perfect sence but now after talking to hubby, I am confused. :bonk:

So since he got his passport over 6mo ago & in Dubai, he does need to contact the Dubai Passport office or the Local Passport Office? :help:

Dubai PCC will be less then a year old. He got it in Nov/Dec and since they are good for a year, we are good to go.....right?

He'll also need the PCC from the local passport office since it's been more than 6 months since he's been in India (another VJer could verify this??). It wouldn't hurt to send in the Dubai passport PCC.

hummm yea I am not sure on this one... I would think that he would send the dubai PCC that is less than one year, and then he would still get the local passport police clearance and then the district one <making a total of 3>.... what does Sach say? I could totally be worng... my brain is all fuzzy an high feeling due to happiness right at this moment... I will get back to you when I swim down to reality... <kids will be up and fighting in about 10 mins>

He will need one PCC from Dubai since that is where his passport was issued and he lived there as well. He will need one from his current residence local police station. Also check with your RPO--maybe they will need to clear it as well. They are the ones that stamp your passport with the clearance.

Sachinky,

I checked the AVR and it says that they received my RFE yesterday. Looks like there will be no problem if we used the original cover sheet with the barcode.
