On one of the countless pages here, there's a breakdown of the documents you need. They do have to be originals and you need to include a photocopy of them too. You send photocopies along with the originals so that you can have your originals back after/at the interview

Do the copies have to be translated to English or not?? Thanks!

New plane reservations are for the 16th of April!!

So today I went through two sets of phone bills from the last six months, highlighting my husband's number on the itemized call list.

That was FUN.

yikesss... thanks God. my bill does not reflect the national calls only international and his number is the only one that I dialed... on March we spoke 2000 minutes thats not counting the calls that were made to me only the one that I did.. YIKESSS

No, because our AOS packet went in mid-February, both my husband and joint sponsor used 2008 taxes.

Sachi, what if your cousin blacked out his SS# except for the last 4? And also his bank information?

I am sure the embassy would accept that considering they have the 864 he filled out with all the information. Perhaps he could include a letter stating that he was worried about his private information being vulnerable in the mail?

I'm just wondering if this COULD be done, in case the need arises:

My FIL has agreed to step up and give me his 2009 tax returns (and other documentation) and an I864A, when he heard that my cousin was giving us trouble at this late hour.

Can I just have him replace my cousin as the joint sponsor at the interview stage?

At this point, I'm trying to keep my options open. I've about a month to figure this out.

I'm going to add my sister as co-sponser when my husband has his interview, so I don't think adding your FIL would be an issue.
