For the DS-230 package, do they want original things only?

I think I read original or certified. Certified meaning it has to have a valid stamp or something??

Certified copies means it must be issued by the same entity that issued your original.

It's NOT a notarized/attested copy.

I got that response as well last week, NVC is waiting on the Biographic stuff... blah blah blah... they wanted my ds-230 packet so I gave it to them. Now they dont like me..

I just want them to like me, How damn hard is that ? Haha

On one of the countless pages here, there's a breakdown of the documents you need. They do have to be originals and you need to include a photocopy of them too. You send photocopies along with the originals so that you can have your originals back after/at the interview

A guide to the DS230 packet for beneficiaries.

--Cover sheet for Immigrant Visa Bill of $400.

--Two (2) Passport Size Photographs of Beneficiary (Beneficiary's full name, and date of birth are written on back of both).

--DS-230 Part 1 completed and signed by beneficiary.

--DS-230 Part 2 completed by beneficiary, unsigned, as of yet, per instructions.

--Original Marriage certificate

--Photocopy of Marriage Certificate

--Original Birth Certificate

--Photocopy of Birth Certificate

--Original Police Clearance Certificate.

--Photocopy of Police Clearance Certificate

--Photocopy of beneficiary's passport.
