02-16-2010: NVC Case # Assigned
03-31-2010: Case Complete!!
04-12-2010: Interview date assigned by NVC.
05-11-2010: Medical appointment in Rio

05-13-2010: Interview in Rio - APPROVED!!!

06-02-2010: POE in Washington DC - Finally home!

July 30, 2010 - Received the Green Card after receiving 4 welcome letters! USCIS see ya later!

2 YEARS LATER......

03-02-2012: Elegible to lift conditions
06-02-2012: Temporary GC expires

12-20-2012: Permanent GC received

6 MONTHS LATER......

I think so Sachi. You can tell them that your cousin was having problems filling his 2009 taxes and you didn't want to get there without a backup.

You FIL will send all the papers right? 2009, 2008, 2007 etc? Or only the I-864 and 2009 returns?

We sent in the AOS forms and now the AVR says "Waiting for Biographic forms from Petitioner". Is this the DS-230? Do they usually say in the AVR if the I-864 has been accepted?

Yes! It is the DS230 they are wanting. They never told me the AOS was accepted. You can call and verify this with an operator.

Yes that's what it is. I got the same recording :) They wouldn't tell me if the AOS was accepted/being reviewed/anything, but I'm sure IT being put into the system is what prompts the message for the IV packet. Once they get your IV forms the recording will change to "The NVC has received your documents...please allow 6 to 8 weeks (months, years, eons) for them to be reviewed".

NOW YOUR TALKIN. Jamaican rum? I'm thinkin overproof rum. There's a nice blend from Trelawny that will knock you on your @ss for a couple days. Might sting a bit going down, but at this rate who cares...
