my rfe was sent on march 19 and received by avr on march 24. i keep checking that it wont change the sif. you might have sif later today.

See, you don't need a SSN if you file a W-7, ITIN (Individual Taxpayer ID Number). To do that though, you have to submit that form along with your tax return and they can only be snail mailed. Also, the list of documents that have to be send with it is about as bad as the list from the *%$#ing NVC - passport this and notarized that. It's just not worth it at this point. I won't need an extension because I don't owe as long as I can claim her. I think I'll call my tax guy and ask him if he will just send me a copy of my return then send that and copies of my W-2's to her so she can take them to her interview...dunno what else to do really.

And advise me... cuz I seriously dont know what to do either.

yah? Mine was received on the 17th and entered in system on the 20th of March per AVR. UGH... I was almost praying Id get a SIF yesterday So what was your RFE for?

i am in the may 2010 interview. i take notes to your posting here. i just told my husband to send 2009 tax return of him and his brother who is our co-sponsor. thanks a lot to your input in making this journey easy.

us embassy manila will be closed on thursday and friday. i dont expect any appointment until next week. i will still call nvc on friday.

when my husband came to visit me he bring his tax stuff and I sign it so it looks that he filled the 2009 taxes jointly with me as I have a social security number.. I dont know if that is good or bad...

I just got off the phone with my tax man. He said I should just send a letter explaining that I'm anticipating a refund for the '09 tax year, provided that I can include her. We have 3 years to file if we are due a refund so there's no need to file for an extension. I'm going to draft a letter explaining that and attach a copy of my W-2's and she can take that with her to the interview

my rfe is 1864A. there is discrepancy between the irs and the 1864A. nvc told us to ignore Ds230 and DS3032 since its already received before they sent the rfe email.

i became paranoid to my DS230 when i read about your no. 30 DS230. my husband and i double checked that no. i havesent that form as soon as we got the nvc no. by snail mail. i have to send him the following day another signed form for any changes needed to be done. it took me several days to fill up that simple DS2330. I really got tired repeating all my errors. it paid off. thanks for sharing your error. i learned from it. no rfe for DS230.

he brought with him all my civil documents when he left philippines. this way i saved high cost of fedex and time.
