LOL! Ok, Darnell I think I'm about to receive some serious sarcastic banter from you over this one because I just found out I have been laboring under a big misunderstanding. I have been waiting for an email with an I-864 form with a barcode on it, like the DS-3032. Well, it appears this magic form does not exist. I did in fact just get off of the phone with a live person at the NVC who informed me that the cover sheet (which I already have saved to my computer, I might add) is all I will be getting specifically for our case for the AOS paperwork and that I can just download the forms myself. WOW! I'm trying to retrace my thought process to see where I got that mixed up. But I am posting here in case someone else somehow thinks the same thing so they don't have to go through the same thing. I think I'm beginning to take attention to detail too seriously at this point...but I guess that's still a good thing since I'm getting older and I tend to make stupid errors, like this, more often than I used to.

Now to fill in some more dates on the timeline...I love to see them fill up and get closer to having my honey here!

It really is! My husband and I call it the magic soup because my stomach was unsettled with a lot of the food over there but the harira actually made me feel better. I made it here for my family at Thanksgiving, but didn't use a pressure cooker so it didn't come out exactly the same. The taste was the same but not the consistency. I'll try to find the link to the recipe I used, if you want. I did a lot of short cuts in preparation (like using canned tomatoes instead of peeling them myself) but it turned out pretty well. I still need to get more lessons from my mother-in-law this summer, though!

Thanks, lass - for the food porn. You are my new friend. I'm on a serious diet and exercise regime recently, I've got to get down to 195.

I love green stuff, reminds me of peranakan desserts in Singapura... which of course, I can't eat these days.

back on topic...

I think NVC mail room is gonna be lagged from the weather issues from Friday. Maybe they will pull in other staff to process the mail. I hope so - this stuff is getting wonky.
