AVR is updated at 3PM and 10PM, and once more in the morning around 11PM. This last bit is unconfirmed though.

The payment portal CAN fail at any time althought 6:00PM seems to be a good time according to recent trends.

Calling the doc to set up medical tomorrow,gonna be the thurday before my thuesday interview,should be enough time. Gonna ask the doc though,just to make sure I'm not cutting it to close!

Tharnsur, isn't New Year's fun?! I was hoping to spend it with Husby (really was hoping he'd have an interview right after the New Year), but that's not going to happen. Will you be traveling or doing anything special? We're having a few "festivals" with yummy food and dance shows. I like how it's going to be 2554 for Cambodia. This year, in Thailand, is 2553.

Alicia, 3 months from now we'll be with our loved ones! I'm sure that will be more than enough to keep us busy. I'm pretty concerned about Husby getting his driver's license here. The boy drives waaaay too aggressively for my liking.

Yesterday I was making evidence packs, and I thought about how we still have a lot to do. Once the visa is issued, we have the POE. Then the GC and SSN in the mail. Then the driver's license and work and school and all that other stuff. ROC. Citizenship. But then that's it. And it's gonna be interesting to have our spouses with us for it all.

You have a SSN right? So what are we suppose to do? I marked on the DS230 that I want to receive a new card in the mail and wrote my number. Do we have to go to the SSN office and get it updated? Or if we have the GC we are good to go?

Umm, something about going into the SS office and getting it updated once the passport is stamped.

I didn't mark "yes" on the new SSN. I prefer to go in person and sort such things out.

I lost mine freshman year and then got it replaced ten days before graduation. Took 3 days for them to mail it in.

I too was wondering the same thing since hubby has a SSN card but his says "For work purposes only (something along that line)"

It says they received mine on the 25th, last Thursday.
