Just made both payments online!

Is it ok that I paid the $400 & 70 all on one day, within minutes from each other?

If it's showing up, in the payment portal, as 'available to be paid', then - IMO - ya - SURE -

PAY BOTH at the same time.

Don't forget to print the payment receipts , when they are available for printing (1 to 3 days later)

there's some coversheet thingies you need to print, as well.

GOOD LUCK ! (or something)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

why dont you just use the template from VJ and then email that one it... just make sure it is from the benificary's email... they accepted ours in 3 days

to be clear(er) - if lilib is actually opting in for NVC Electronic Processing (she can, she's to be interviewed in Guangzhou)

then she can't use the template.

She has to submit a SIGNED DS-3032 in PDF format, plus a specific subject header,

plus some specific data in the body of the email.

it's totally 'different' than just 'emailing in the email template' as part of ascii text in the body of an email.

NVC Electronic Processing is cool, but if she doesn't follow the directions, to the letter, she's gonna get stalled.

Stalled at NVC, sucks.

lilib - if yer reading this - hey !

remember - it's a parallel process, aye?

two major things for you to do -

1. pay on the online payment portal and

2. send off electronic versions of documents, in pdf format, to the special NVC email address.

For GUZ-bound petitions - it's BEST TO WAIT for 'sending in the I-864 and the DS-230' - until AFTER yer casefile number is converted from GUZ to GZO. You can still pay the AOS fee of 70 bucks, immediately, if you have received that 'DS-3032 kit' in yer email already.

If you don't have a DS-3032 kit in yer email - you won't be able to pay online at the portal.

I suggest (again) you reread http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...onic_Processing

and start making notes, on paper, for what to do. xie xie !

Grrrrrr! My cell phone battery died from being on hold so much the past two days and still I haven't talked to anyone. I guess I'll just have to wait until it charges up but I hope I can catch someone before they close tonight. I tell ya, one day off and all of the sudden you can't get anyone. There must be a lot of people in the same boat! :(

Most of them (in the same boat) carried their phone chargers with them. You Are So Bad !!!

So I have a question. I am talking to my hubby now & I told him he needs two Police Clearances from India. One from the local police statition & another from the passport office (right?).

Well, he worked/lived in Dubai for 3yrs & his last Passport (Indian) was issued from there. So he says he will have to get a Police Clearance from Dubai Passport office. Anyone deal with this & know what the right answer is. If it is Dubai office then it will take about 15 days :crying:

lets wait until our friends of India are online so they can help you..sorry for that. it looks you did not take a look of the Ling Che shortcuts

At NVC / The Guide to Flying through NVC

Try to have all documents below in the hands of the Petitioner, before the NVC process begins. This should be done BEFORE your I-130 petition is approved

1. NOA2 - Petition(s) Approved Notice(s) from USCIS.

You find out from USCIS that your "Petition was Approved".

If you didn’t get all the paperwork required for AOS and IV, NOW is the time. Especially PCC (Police Clearance Certificate), Birth Certificates and Tax info, as well as any other info needed for I-864.

Hang on…NVC knows NOTHING about your case yet.

Yes "sachinky" might know the answer. I did look @ Ling Che Shortcuts but it was just yesterday (I believe) that Melody told me that I need 2 Police Certificates and I didnt know my hubbys last passport was issued out in Dubai.

He all ready has a Police Clearance from Dubai. He lived in US for more then 6mo but of course does not need one from US & everywhere else was less then 6mo. He is working on his India Police Clearance now. But its the passport one that we are confused about because he states when he was doing his paperwork for J1 Waiver he had to get the Passport Clearance from Dubai.

Question is, is he still working/living in Dubai? From the way your question is framed, I'm assuming he's still living there. He is correct in that he'll have to get the PCC from the Dubai Passport office. See the link below. Scroll down to Police certificates. It clearly states that applicants residing in India needs a PCC from the local Passport while Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India needs to obtain a statement from the local embassy/consulate stating there is no criminal record against them

PCC , when reviewed at the IV unit at the Consulate/Embassy - must be less than 1 year old on the issuance date, on Interview Day.

Sorry if my post was confusing. He is now living in India and has been since May. I am somewhat confused by the link you sent me. I looked at it before and it made perfect sence but now after talking to hubby, I am confused. :bonk:

So since he got his passport over 6mo ago & in Dubai, he does need to contact the Dubai Passport office or the Local Passport Office? :help:
