:angry::angry::angry:

So they received my DS-230 package on 17th, its the 29th today and they still have not entered it in the system.... I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO PISSED OFF..... How long does it f***ing take to carry a freaking package from a mailroom to the person who reviews it???

Anyways I was told to give them a call at the end of the week to see if they are reviewing it yet.... :bonk:

Oh jeez...! Let's not forget that the operators know little if anything, and they just mumble off what's in front of them on a screen. Theres a good chance its being reviewed or where it needs to be, but they just dont know it yet. Stupid system... I swear you would think it would be more advanced. Hang in there friend!

I've been very stressed this weekend. Dealing with my joint sponsor who is now refusing to send his copy of his AOS package (with 2009 tax returns) to me for the interview since he's already sent them in to NVC. He's citing "privacy concerns" regarding his "confidential information." He wants official confirmation before he sends any "irrelevant or unnecessary paperwork" my way.

#######. I don't know what to do anymore.

Any ideas?

Gosh how annoying! Well, I'd "cite" the fact that they request people bring with them everything they sent to the NVC to the interview for the simple fact that missing just one item can cause a whirlwind of $hit. My suggestion for you would be to "cite" the horror stories of people not having a complete copy of something and then having to recreate the whole package and be forced to reschedule the interview. If common sense doesnt work, guilt might? If they still refuse, simply say you understand and pray their paranoia doesnt cost you an interview. Honestly, I think you will be ok- maybe contact the NVC and ask them how necessary it is to have a duplicate of the AOS from joint sponsor? Jut to put your mind at ease? Dont worry Sach- this small ting it is.

I always thought the "EXPEDITED" process only for the U.S Armed forces... Din't know that you could expedite by calling your Senator/Congress men..

well im not sure....I am not in the armed forces....the only thing I did was call my congressman, but noone mentioned it was expedited, I was just hoping to get it to the top of the pile :) Not even sure what expedited means.

MQ--I'm really sorry to hear about the AP but honestly, it was to be expected given the region.

I always figured that extra documents asked for during the interview, will automatically throw the applicant into AP since it is issued under a 212g.

Good luck, stay strong. I hope it is a short AP. (F)

Natalia--Your FIL is acting as the joint sponsor at the interview, right?

Did you figure out if he's using a I-864 or an I-864A?

Yeap! I already have all his paperwork.... I really wish I don't have to use it though.

No news here.... I can still see that stupid receipt page

I really hope you're right....I asked how long it usually takes to enter a package into the system and prepared myself for the usual "4-6 weeks" and that's when she surprised me and told me that they "don't give out time frames".... :bonk: We need some good news around here...

I've read through the interview letter several times to see if such a thing is recommended but I've found nothing yet.

:o you do? I wonder if you see the same dead people I do. When they talk to you, what do they say? Do they say " The NVC has received the checklist letter response on {strange robatic voice change blurting out date} Please allow 6-8 weeks for review and then YOU will be notified?"

or do they rehearse the Uruguay National Anthem? I swear one of my dead people was whispering to me...

"Libertad, libertad Orientales!

Ese grito à la Patria salvó.

Que a sus bravos en fieras batallas

De entusiasmo sublime inflamó.

De este don sacrosanto, la gloria

merecimos: tiranos temblad!

Libertad en la lid clamaremos,

Y muriendo, también libertad!"

Sachi, I would first email them and see what their answer would be. Imagine if he calls and they say "it's not necessary", he will think you just want to "snoopy" his papers

Trust me, I know how you are feeling.... if they agreed to be our co-sponsors why they decide to make things difficult when we most need them?

Email the Embassy and let's see what they will answer.... Don't worry chica!
