you know what would be the most upsetting?

is if the gov legalizes all illegal hispanic immigrants, while WE pay money and wait and work so hard for a LEGAL visa and citizenship!!!

If my wife were to file her latest taxes this week, how long would it take for her to get the evidence of those taxes being filed?

I ask, because we've hit yet, another snag in the process.

One of our RFE's was in regards to my wife's income on the I-864, not matching her lates W2 or tax transcript. Her W2's are from this year, yet, because she hasn't been in the country, the tax transcripts are from 2007.

Which income to we provide on the I864? The sum of all CURRENT W2's? Or the income from the latest (2007) trascripts?

Hey guys - Does anyone know how to PM an Admin?

I'm trying/hoping to add Stockholm/Sweden to the Embassy Info list but everytime I try to click the "PM Admin" link there it only takes me back to the Forum pages!

Mike--Have your wife file taxes for 2009. Then use the photocopies of the signed returns, W2/1099s that she may have.

Her current income is whatever she is earning. (Say $1000 a month=$$12,000 for the year)--This would be backed up by 6 months worth of paystubs or an employment letter. If her income is the same as she was earning last year, then put that figure.

For the last 3 tax info, fill whatever is there on the W2.

For example:

2009--$20,000

2008--$18,200

2007--$19,000

What is the signed return? Is that something she sends when filing? I'm sure she knows what it is, just clarifying for me peace of mind!

Mikey--Returns are what are used to file the taxes. 1040 or something? We didn't use tax transcripts. Just prior record keeping copies.

That's funny you got a RFE for that one. My husband did the same thing--did you send employment letter/paystubs showing current income? Ours got through fine--his 2008 taxes had a different figure because he was working on campus. He started a new job from September so we sent an employment from his company and his last paychecks.

My GUESS is that if you don't send the current income info (paystubs and employment letter) you will need to list the figure for the last W2 on the I864. As those are the only two things REQUIRED for the AOS package.

And another one on the 23, I think?

I did see one timeline for Chennai with an interview scheduled for MAY 13th.

Not "monitoring" them. Just happened to come across in a post a couple of days ago. I can't even pin-point what forum it was. Just remember that it was May and I thought, "Oh, I bet Vivek's gonna get his soon then!"

Good morning ... it's Sunday. My package was delivered on 26th March ... yay. Finally. Husband sent his AOS overnight on Thursday but for overnight delivery. So now we wait.

Fingers crossed for anyone waiting for CC and interviews.
