NVC should be open because Easter is on Sunday. Next closing day they should have is Memorial Day & thats almost end of May. Hopefully we will all be done with them by then.

Ugh i realy hope they call my husband this week and tell him to send the passport. They said 1-2 weeks and they said nothing about AP. and the 221(g) said nothing about AP. so it should not be AP. i hope they call, given its only been 3 working days since they got the letter. im starting to worry.

Dont worry MQ! Its not AP. Its exactly what they said - they will call him this week, Im certain. They need to get this processed and off their list as well. Three working days for these people is like an hour. So be patient and know its just a little more time.

Nope! Banks open, mail still delivered. State courts closed, but Fed offices remain open I believe. Booze can be sold.. shops open for business! Our capitalistic blood would boil over if we lost a day of commerce for anything holy...

The Embassy in BR will be closed only on Friday (good friday). Probably the NVC as well?

i thought for sure it would be - i work in financial services - and we're off - but guess it's not...good for us and the NVC _ keep giving interview dates and LIF !!
