I'll call the Mumbai consulate on Monday and my husband will email them over the weekend.

It'd be great if they can move it up but if not, that's fine too.

I'm not sweating it at this point. At worst, they'll say, sorry we're totally booked.

cant hurt to try - May 12 is early month- maybe they can swing something for end of April. Spread the charm girlie!

Gpmaan2--Awesomeeee! Congrats! I was wondering where you were!

Wait 24 hours till the AVR updates to CASE COMPLETE.

Then maybe call them on Tuesday/Wednesday to ask if they've scheduled a date for you yet?

Interview letter will come via email.

Where will you be interviewing? Medical seems to be country specific.

Here's the part we've all been waiting for. Your sign in fails! What happens AFTER you get a SIGN IN FAILED?

Check the AVR/confirm with an operator that your case has indeed completed processing at NVC.

CR-1 interviews are scheduled by NVC. The interview letter will be e-mailed to both the beneficiary and the petitioner.

You can track the DHL packages sent out from Portsmouth, NH to your consulate.

Keep bugging NVC till they assign your date. Not too much, though.

You can check the US Consulate's website for updates on interviews. Most consulate's have an interview schedule updated bi-weekly.

You can also call your consulate for regular updates on how busy the consulate is that month.

Get your medical out of the way. The medical is country specific, so check out your regional forums.

Usually, you need 2-3 photographs, passport, interview letter, and your medical records but I'm sure requirements differ.

You're a rock star. I was seriously considering making a "Ask Sachinky" thread dedicated to your know-how and wisdom, but figure you MIGHT be a lil too busy these next few weeks.. hee hee

 I kno, I kno. Been there.. been there.. BUT!!! Give thanks that the RFE was indeed FALSE - and that its just short delay. Also, remember that my dogs dingaling is more informed than those operators and it is QUITE possible that your DS230 IS being reviewed and your hours away from a SIF! B-)

LOL I finally figured it out.... SO the people who update AVR, operators and the people who actually review the case do not communicate with each other and are given different information to confuse the hell out of each other.... :bonk:

I really hope we get our SIF soon.... otherwise by the time my hubby gets here I'll be moving into retirement facility....
