So I am a little confused on the end half of the NVC.

to get the interview, should we call and harrass NVC operators until they give us a date?

or do they set a date by themselves after they forward our applications to the embassy??

This varies by country. Now would be a GREAT TIME to learn what is done for Japan.

5 minutes later he calls me back - My heart is racing - Hubby tells me... I could only get a busysignal so I gave up...

He needs to buy a service with 'auto-redial'. It's not expensive, at all.

Heck - his current service might have it as an option - something extra to buy - have him call customer service for his phone service, in the morning.

I just got my appointment email for MAY 4th, 2010!!!!

This week's interview list just came out and and I'm confirmed for April 26. I also see 18 interviews scheduled for May 4 alone and all are 7 AM appts.

Phnom Penh updates weekly?! And the schedule is nicely organized by case number?! And there are lots of PHP2010 cases?!

That's good. I'm happy for you.

As of this moment, I'm not happy with Bangkok, though. BNK2010 cases seem to be a rarity on their schedule. Which is updated monthly. Or every 6 weeks or so.

Excuse me. NVC. Can we switch consulates? Husby and I are willing to take a vacation in order to be present at the interview.

- Hi, I received an RFE and I sent out the answer a few days ago, I was just wondering if you guys got the documents and what the status might be?

- I can see that we got a package from you, but you have to allow 2-4 weeks for review (wonder what happened to 6-8 weeks )

- Hmmm I see, Can you tell me if we get a Case complete by the end of the month, it would be possible to get an April interview? Do you know if the RJ consulate is busy for that month?

- Ma'am we just finished making interviews appointments 2 weeks ago (yeah sure), so you will have to call back on the 16th. We are not making interviews appointment anymore.

- Ok, thanks have a good night! (what a meant: yeah sure, you are so helpful today, I should give you a for being soooo competent and informative!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

congrats SAchinky, looks like DHL isn't too far off.

So what this means is that nvc does schedule interviews all month long. VJers with a case complete ought to track through DHL +/- 5 days and get on them about the interview dates. Based on what the nvc operator said Tharnsur would have had to wait until second week of April to get an interview set. He just got his today so it confirms the operators are giving false answers.

SPSguy - our case number is not listed on the new schedule yet. 18 interview is the most i've seen scheduled in one day. I hope everything will go smoothly. I don't care about the breakfast! just give us our visa and i'm happy:) I'm starting to look at plane tickets and it's ridiculously expensive!!!! i'll drop by my regular travel agent tomorrow to see if she can beat these horrible price.
