Chintu--Ask FEDEX to deliver the package to your office. Keep everything else ready so that the moment the package arrives, you can go out for a smoke break and drop the packet off.

Did they say when you're likely to get it?

Fedex doesnt know yet.. they said may be saturday or Monday.... I told them to keep it at Fedex location here in TX, so that I can go and pick-up in person, insted of waiting for them do deliver it to me. I hope atleast by saturday if they give it to me then I can go ahead and overnight it on Monday.

I kept every thing ready( barcoded cover letter sent by the NVC, my own cover letter and the originl+copies of marriage/birth certificates, and two photpgraphs.. sofar.....)

WHAT?! "Is he worth it?" Heck, yea!! Who goes around asking things like that? Immigration and how-do-you-decide-the-worth-of-a-person aside, you married him. If he wasn't good for you, that wouldn't have happened. Let alone your taking on the circus of US immigration. Geez! Some people!!

My favorites are the ones who go "How do you know he's not just in it for the green card?" Please just shut your mouth and walk away. It's like Thumper's mom: If you don't have something nice to day, don't say anything at all. If you're honestly interested in knowing the answer, at least find a better way to ask. Ask about our future living plans or if he wants to become a citizen. Or if you're genuinely concerned that I'm getting scammed, please just say so. There's no need to judge my husband before you've even met him. But I guess that's part of the problem. I don't have this really warm, confident flesh-and-blood man for them to meet. And if you're not going through it, you can't understand to the same degree.

I agree. You guys are absolutely amazing! Thank you.

.....

Semi-related: Everyone! Don't forget to PM me your names, phone numbers, and e-mails for the March 2011 reunion in Vegas!

LOL!! forgot about that one.. thats always fun to hear...some people dont deserve to breathe.

I hate those "How do you know he's not just in it for the green card?" type people. That's the main reason I don't bring up my husband or the fact that I'm married because I'm not going to restrain my frustration if they ask me that. My husband is unlike any guy I've ever met. He supports me on a whole other level that I can't even begin to explain. We went through a lot of the same problems together growing up, so we just connect like we were destined for each other.

*There's a bucket in the corner if my mushy-ness is making you sick*

But it's true. We know what we have and that's all that matters. What God put together let no one break asunder.

@ The Bears: I don't think I'll be able to make that Reunion. I think I might be planning a vow renewal and honeymoon. I'm thinking a super small ceromony on the beach and a week long Caribbean cruise. The cruise would stop in Dominica and we could go visit his family for the day.

Yes, you are absolutely required to submit a Police Certificate to NVC. You need to send and include it together with your DS230 packet, otherwise you'll definitely get an RFE for that..and also, you need to bring another one during the interview.

Is there no other way to get the PCC earlier than 45 days?sad to hear about that..but maybe you can ask Sachinky for specific details about getting a PCC 'cause shes from india..Good luck to you.. :)

Thanks jrd. Yep, trying to figure out ways to get this sooner. So does that mean we need to get two PCC's? one for NVC and one for the interview?

My favorite passage and wedding vow! and the one me and my husband repeat to eachother when it feels like its us against the world. So many people try to destroy us, come between us - still we stand. :D

No need for the bucket cause of your mushyness.. there is a vat of hot boiling oil to which I'd like to place some peoples heads tho. GOSH! This NVC process has made me a tad bit violent. Forgive me. :P

:ot: kinda...

So tell me if any of you go thru this...

When I tell people about my husband, what we are going through with immigration, the amount of time we have spent together compared with the time we have been apart, etc, mostly I get these looks  and then an occasional, "wow" and often a "why didnt you just marry someone here" and yesterday I even got a "is he worth it"

Very few people understand this process, what we go thru and I am so happy to have you guys here on VJ- to relate to. "is he worth it"???? I asked her, "wouldnt your husband be?" dumb broad...

:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Oh I dread everyone asking me about where my husband is and all the questions that follow.... Why don't you just shut the * up about how long distance relationships are hard and concentrate on your cheating looser husband who is sooooo close....

Another one that drives me crazy is "it's a good test for you guys" #######???? What test? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Why don't you go test yourself and stop saying phrases you heard someone use before.... If you need a f****ing test to know you love someone and want to spend the rest of your life with them, then you are better off alone..

Morning everyone! Hope to hear good news today.... AVR still same for me - we received your biographic forms and we will be staring at them for the next 6-8 weeks before we review in one day cause that's actually how long it takes to review it..... At least no RFE so far....

For India, you will need two PCCs, unless your passport is less than 6 months old.

One from your local PS for your current residence. And one more from your passport issuing RPO.

Applicants from Chennai and Bombay were able to get by with submitting one for NVC and providing the other at the interview but Sean John's case proves that this trend is no longer applicable.

Both PCCs MUST be submitted to NVC in order to get a CASE COMPLETE.

You can send your packet in and then wait for them to RFE you. Respond to the RFE with those PCCs. But yes, get on them right away.

I got my PCCs while waiting for our NOA2. They are valid for 1 year for embassy purposes. Took 3 weeks for the PS one and 1 week for the RPO PCC.

Thanks Sachinky. As Deep said, should done that too. Trying to figure out if sending the package without the PCC's and then waiting for an RFE or waiting for the PCC's would be faster.
