ok, cant help it.... I am calling NVC.....ummm still holding... its been 23 mins... getting a little irritable over here

thank you for calling, our staff is working hard to take your call now, when we return plz let us know how we can serve you <HA!> thank you for calling assistance is just a moment away! <I am wondering how long a moment is? I mean like seriously.. if you ask my kids.. a moment would just be until the next commercial break... but I think the NVC is working on a different time length, like take ancient egypt... King Tut... well he was just a moment in time... a long #### time ago.. and see.. his moment was like how many freaking years? Well... I think the NVC should change the msg... and Not say a 'moment' or a brief delay... because I can assure you it is just making me more irritable each 'moment' that is passing and noone is answering... what is a moment? 1. A brief, indefinite interval of time. hummm what is brief? 1. Short in time, duration, length, or extent oooo what is short? Lasting a brief time: a short holiday.

b. Appearing to pass quickly: finished the job in a few short months.

5. Not lengthy; succinct: short and to the point.

1.) When is my interview appointment Damit? I see that your case is completed and we are waiting on the embassy to tell us there availabilty so we can schedule you an appoitment

2.) When will you forward my document to the embassy? We will forward your documents as soon as we set up and interview date

3.) When do you schedule the interview dates? What about the second week in April... would that be on the 5-9th or the 12th -16th? I believe that it will be the 5-9th you can all back then and see if we have an interview for you, if we are not scheduling that week we will be able to tell you at that time when to call back. But rest assure that we will mail you your interview letter when we have it available :bonk:

4.) I have looked on the US Embassy site for New Delhi, and there is a list of panel Doctors, would it be ok if my husband went ahead and had his medical? Yes, you could go ahead and take the medical, but I would highly advise you against it at this time, since we dont know when your interview date is there could be some issues with the required shots. I would suggest that you wait till as close to the interview date as possible so that any shots that you might have recieved would not have expired <#######> was she serious?

5.) What are my next steps with this process? Just wait for us to mail you an interview letter and follow the instructions

6.) hehehehehe...<this one is for yall> should I call yall back? and if so when? Like I have said before you can call back the week of the 5-9th to see if we are scheduling appointments at this time. There is no issue with the amount of ttimes that you call us

7.) Should I be expecting an May interview? I can not tell you this because I do not know, all I know is that we schedule appointments in the second week of every month and the availabilty is subject to change depending on the embassy

< sigh>

:rofl::rofl::rofl::lol:

Thanks to you, there is now coffee all over my computer screen. this made me laff.. OMG.. ha!!! You are too funny.. Thanks.. I needed that.. I agree the NVC runs on a different concept of time. Its why they use words like "portal" and "checklist response" etc. Its why they have asexual beings on the AVR - is it a man? a woman? They are not of this world... its a cult maybe.

I wrote the case number on the Top right of EVERY document, even the originals. Some people don't like to write on the original documents, but in Germany we can just walk into the registrar's office to get as many original doc's as we want, so I wasn't worried about writing on them. The biggest thing is that if a paper you submitted gets separated from the case, then they have a way to get it back to the right place.

That wouldn't be a reason for an RFE though?...right?

dear, my hubby sent the inquiry e-mail to the US consulate here in my country, and somehow they sent back their reply promptly, at around 10 am local time. I'm not sure if it would be different if I were the one to sent the embassy that e-mail instead lol...

Then it's just me the hate I guess, haha!

Haha, that's right, I think I read in one of your post's that you guys met in Germany, right? Wifey's not a drinker, but I'll mention it to her anyway. The tough part for her is that it's like a 6 hour train ride for her to get to Frankfurt, so she'll have to go the night before.

Yes we did! I love Germany, wouldn't have left if it wasn't for meeting the love of my life ;)

Where's she from? I have about the same to get to Stockholm,so I know her feeling!

I also have to get there to do my medical,so I'll probably just hang out down there for a while, I really don't want to travel twice!

Thanx. So you didn't run into any RFE's? That's awesome. I hope I don't.

Nope,no RFE's. Thank God! I hope you won't either!

We did the same thing, on every page. For the same reason, it's not that hard to get new ones if they would need one without the casenumber written on it. The only one I was worried about/still worry about, is if they need a new PCC from Germany, that one was kinda a pain in the @$$ to get..

She's about 2 hours from Berlin by car. She'll be taking her Medical in Berlin. I absolutely love Germany too. I'm planning one or two trips a year there for the rest of my life, LOL. Her family is awesome and she lives in a small town where everyone knows everyone. When I'm in town the neighbors all have to find excuses to stop over so they can see the American.

For Indian applicants...

Is it ok to write NVC case number on original ceritificates?

We didn't write the case numbers for the either one of the packets. The barcoded cover sheet on top should be enough.

Although, it is recommended that you do write the case number in case something gets separated.
