Just the immigration hell is all.... I guess if we werent going through this I wouldnt have anything to fight with my hubby about... I am so sick of him telling me one thing, and turns out something different actually happened....

My hubby told me that he mailed the documents to me via FedEx, and that I would recieve them by Wednesday... talked with him on the phone wanting the tracking number <hes been out partying for 3 days because of Holi> and it seems that he didnt use FedEx, that he used some local place and that he thinks that it will be DHL... because this was more convenient for him... and here I am jumping over backwards.. stressing my self out.. for what?? I know this place that he used and last time he used them it took almost 2 weeks!! So... in a nut shell.. I am Affronted, annoyed, antagonized, bitter, chafed, choleric, convulsed, cross, displeased, enraged, exacerbated, exasperated, ferocious, fierce, fiery, fuming, furious, galled, hateful, heated, hot, huffy, ill-tempered, impassioned, incensed, indignant, inflamed, infuriated, irascible, irate, ireful, irritable, irritated, maddened, nettled, offended, outraged, piqued, provoked, raging, resentful, riled, sore, splenetic, storming, sulky, sullen, tumultous/tumultuous, turbulent, uptight, vexed, wrathful.

AMEN SISTER!! I FEEL YOU 100% Husband is so nice and relaxed.....sheeeeeeeeeshhhhhhhhh....Delays now are 100% because of him, and I am the one going crazy....hhhhmmmm

Well, the IV Bill amount is out of my bank account. So, I'm hoping when the portal refreshes at 3, I can print my cover letter and get on the "waiting for LIF" train with so many of you.

hey - thats great.

JUST FOR FILING PURPOSES (your files, that is)

you might want to PRINT the 'paid receipts' from the web portal

before you gets a LIF.

once you gets a LIF, you can't print sh|te from the portal.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Oh no! Quick, quick, quick! Have him fill out the form again and overnight it to you (or 3-day delivery if that's the best option) so that you have it ready to go. Don't send in duplicate forms just yet. Wait for them to ask for it via RFE first.

Well, I called and the lady said that we'd get an RFE for that probably and to go ahead and submit a new form, signed, with cover sheet. HOWEVER, I am wondering if we should send it today. Maybe it would mess things up? I also think that he screwed up the whole question by putting his date of birth on there - it should be since he was 16, not birth.

UGH. I swear I checked and triple checked. I feel so confused, Idont know what to do

ATS--Unfortunately, that line is one of the most common RFEs for the DS230 form. Any discrepancy and they will throw out a RFE because they're sticklers for that. I'd keep a DS230 form handy--heck, knowing me, I'd probably try to pre-empt it.

So should I go ahead and send in a new form? Or will this just cause problems by sending in two before they notice the error?

Heres another question. For the current employement part for the past ten years, hes been with the same company since 11/2000. It wont be ten years, technically until November this year. Should I leave as is, or also include underneath it that he was unemployed from 1999-2000?

The NVC seems to be fine at processing things when they are received ahead of time (based on this forums experiences), it shouldn't hurt you. Tough call, the stupid short Feb and Friday closure are making our group verrry rushed. If you are 1000% FOR SURE missing March scheduling, I'd wait to get the RFE. Hate to waste a bunch of money overnighting one thing, to have to send two more when you have 30 days : ( But then again, sooner the steps are done the better.

I am just waiting for the dang supervisor to review our papers to see if it is a real or false RFE. Will call every morning and evening. I told them, get used to my voice : ) They say by Friday I should have an answer....we'll see! Sach and senior VJers, with us cutting a LIF this close to scheduling next week, do we have a chance? Looking at old timelines is this common or does LIF need to be completed a week or 2 before scheduling?

Yah at this point, Im almost thinking I might just wait till they ask for it. Also maybe hoping they wont? course thats wishful thinking, Im really counting on getting that RFE now... Since they havent even reviewed the AOS yet, and just NOW got the DS230, I dont think I will make March scheduling for an April interview. I am lost and feel like crying. Part of me wants to send this in with an explanation, part of me wants to just wait, part of me wants to curl up and die.

...anyone have any advice on what to do with my husbands employment question? Again, he WOULD have been with this company ten years this coming November. But is just shy of the ten year mark. Before that he was a student. Should I put student there or.. unemployed or... UGH!

Arg!!! Joint sponsor called and said she's having trouble with the I-864 and I-864A. Still hasn't completed them. Why, oh why, did she not ask me sooner?! As in around Christmas when I asked if she would help us.

dsmiami,

Darnell posted a link a few pages back. It looked pretty good to me.

Ats,

Me being me, I'd send in the new one with both sections changed. If it's going to get slowed down, then it's going to get slowed down. An RFE will slow it and duplicate forms will slow it. At least by sending it in, there's a chance it will be accepted. But that's just me; it's not necessarily the right way to go.

I will highly highly recommend everyone to read the Pinned "Stupid RFE" thread that Sachi pointed out before sending in your packets. I myself caught a few of sure shot RFE's while going through that thread. Luckily caught them before I sent my papers in. Hope I did not make any other stupid mistakes than whats mentioned in that thread.

Melody,

2. I need to have his original birth certificate, police clearance & passport copies to submit?

you are going to send in the originals and make a copy to send in

So I will mail in all the orinals but make copies for myself to keep on file?

I mailed my hubby like 10 DS230 forms. Some so he can fill out & some so he can just put his signiture on it. Attorney told me to do that just in case.

you could of had him print them right out in India, if he doesnt have a computer, then he can go to any internet cafe

Yes, he does have internet but I was mailing stuff to him anyways so it was easier to mail for me then explain to him everything I need. Plus I attached an example how to feel a form out. Or else it would of been the same situation with us as with you and your hubby :)

You are going to send in the original plus one copy of the required documents... Also you should make a copy of the whole packet that you keep for your records
