I am sure all your packages will be recieved and processed soon!!!!

I am a little confused on this issue.

Once your case number is assigned and given your emails to the operator. Can you send your DS-3032 by email or do you have to wait for them??

You can send them now or wait a few days until you get the e-mail requesting the DS-3032 and giving you the IIN for the Payment Portal. We sent ours in first, but others have had problems doing that.

Quick update--- i sent my DS230 pkg today. J. Desmond and the NVC should receive it tom by 10:00a.m. and then the dreaded wait for RFE's

First of all, congratulations to everyone who is getting interview dates and case completes this week. It's very exciting around here!!

I have a question that I would like some informed opinions about. I've been reading that NVC sets up the interview appointments the second week of the month. But it seems like there are those that are getting cases complete recently and still getting an April interview assigned.

My dilemma has to do with the fact that I do NOT want a May interview...we're going for June. I am a high school teacher but I also have the prom (I'm in charge) on May 15th, a week and a half later I'm giving finals, final grades, and then all that stuff with taking down the classroom, checking out, and getting my summer paycheck, etc. I also want a few days to get things ready here and also to be with my husband before the interview so we can prepare...and just to see him for goodness sake! But if we throw the interview into that May mix I'm going to be very stressed, not get to stay long, and it'll cost an extra $1500 at least because I'll have to come back before flying there again for the summer. As you can see, June is a much better alternative.

So, my husband is going to get everything translated and mailed off to me next week and I had planned on mailing everything in April 14th, give it a day or two to get there, and then the 8-11 days processing...with a little wiggle room in case of an RFE, and I figured we'd make it for the June interviews. But, do you think there's a chance of getting a late May interview if we get our CC by the 3rd or 4th week of April? Should I delay sending the packages, at the risk of an RFE? Any thoughts?

According to this Wiki when the case is forwarded to the consulate the AVR is updated to

"...The NVC has completed the case and forwarded it to the Embassy or Consulate in..."

Can anyone who already had their interview or has the interview date assigned confirm this AVR message?

I can confirm this...ours updated to say it was forwarded to the embassy in manila on 16 March 2010....for further questions on the case contact the embassy.

Does it do it all the time...dont know since the AVR has been screwy, but it should tell you the date it left the NVC..if it doesnt, just talk to an operator.

As far as interview date...talk to an operator there or call your embassy after they receive your case file...about 3-5 business days....I used Charlie & Pam's timeline to decide about when to call and ask...although, mine was different as it was expedited, but the embassy told me that the NVC should have sent us an email about the interview.

So, for the hell of it (well not having patience too ) I decided to call & speak to an operator to see what the case status is & was told they are still waiting on my IV & AOS Packet which the AVR says they have received it & its been reviewed. I think I like the AVR better

Vanessa, your plan sounds good to me. I agree there's a chance you could get a May interview if your case is complete at the end of April, but I think it's slight. What does the trend look like for Morocco? Are they fast or are they taking their time? I think the 8 - 11 days for CC is definitely going to change between now and the next round of scheduling.

What if you guys got a July interview? It's still summer so it would accommodate your work schedule. That way you can aim for an early May CC and catch the scheduling for either a June or July interview. I'm sure you don't want to wait another month, but it may be the best thing.

Tatyana, I'm so in for that party! When we get our log in fails, we'll all head to the beach together. Woo!

That sounds wonderful! I am so overdue for a vacation.

Yes, you could go ahead and take the medical, but I would highly advise you against it at this time, since we dont know when your interview date is there could be some issues with the required shots. I would suggest that you wait till as close to the interview date as possible so that any shots that you might have recieved would not have expired <#######> was she serious?
