I was asking because my brother is on his way to getting his green card. We just sent out the missing police clearance yesterday. NVC received it today. Those documents were sent with DS230 i believe so. That's the reason i asked how can u login in NVC website

How are you paying?

This 'NVC website' that you mention, is only for payments.

A 'LIF' is a sure sign the case is complete at NVC, and about to be 'set' for shipment or appointment (depending on the embassy/country).

You should contact your brother's petitioner, inquire about 'how they paid'. If nothing ONLINE, then sorry - the petitioner will have to call the NVC Hotline, Speak to a Human or suffer through the AVR.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ARG!!!!!!! Makes me

and... now that I see it, your right Sach and Natalia - last month was different because of the bogg down, weather, etc. Seems its a tad unfair though, because I'm sure they are still bogged down, at least it seems where it used to take 5-8 days, now its taking 11 days... LOL. Man if I have to wait till June now.. I think I will :crying: . Especially since they still have a week or so to go on reviewing my RFE. LOL

Makes me mad that we have to wait for another 10 days or so to get case complete.

Our both packages were already reviewed you know?

They should have a few employees just to get the RFEs and complete the package. :bonk:

I am new to this forum and have just read through the posts and the guides here.

Our case got transferred to the NVC on 11 March and as of yesterday the online status shows that the IV Bill has been paid. I have the following questions and appreciate anyone's thoughts and responses.

Will a physical DS-230 package be sent now that the IV Bill has been paid?

If yes, will it be sent to the petitioner (me) since the DS-3032 named me?

If a physical package will not be sent, will NVC send us an email or something to submit the DS-230 package?

The "Applicant Document Processing" link on the NVC website says that we need to send in Originals or Certified Copies of the Birth Certificates etc. If we send in Originals, will they be returned to us.

NVC Case # 03/11

AOS Bill paid - 3/16

AOS Sent - 3/18

IV Bill Paid - 3/22

If you wait about 3 months from today, NVC will send out a postal packet to the beneficiary for the DS-230.

A nice collection of a blank DS-230 plus instructions, and a nice letter.

Most people refuse to wait that long, and instead - they

DOWNLOAD the DS-230 form and then

mail a completed DS-230 form with signatures and supporting docs to NVC

the day that they note 'payment cleared' on the online payment portal.

Good Luck ! Let us know which path you decide to take?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Can anyone tell me what does Sign In fail means? I thought NVC has no way to get signed up online. How some of you are checking online about the case?

Thanks

sign in failed meaning your case is complete. You can check it on payment portal.

Makes me mad that we have to wait for another 10 days or so to get case complete.

Our both packages were already reviewed you know?

They should have a few employees just to get the RFEs and complete the package. :bonk:

Dont worry we will be approved soon... :)

According to this Wiki when the case is forwarded to the consulate the AVR is updated to

"...The NVC has completed the case and forwarded it to the Embassy or Consulate in..."

Can anyone who already had their interview or has the interview date assigned confirm this AVR message?

In my case, the avr message simply stated that the case had been complete and to wait 6-8 weeks for further instructions. It stayed this way even after the offical email for interview was received. I have not had a reason to call NVC since.

The AVR and operator will tell you to wait 6-8 weeks, but in reality it can be as little as 3 days if your case complete is within the nvc time frame for interview scheduling. If in fact the NVC is the one doing the scheduling, even one day after the cut-off time can mean waiting an additional 4-5 weeks for scheduling and a second 4-8 weeks for actual interview.

 I hear you and dont blame you.. i think too much too. HOWEVER, I think bombard them.. YES BOMBARD them with as much as you can. Collage it if you have too- combine ticket stubs and scrapbook them in a way where the pics are placed next to them. The MORE evidence (whether its PERFECT or not) the better I say..
